Keeps coming up with the goods

This is one of the best series in TV that ever there was. Larry David is excellent and whilst you feel sorry for him, you sometimes want to give him a good kick in the pants. This show keeps you in stiches and it's the kind of show you can watch over and over again 'cause it always remains funny.

A gorgeous, messy film

Like many people have already said, the movie has little or nothing to do with Bram Stoker's novel. I saw the movie a couple weeks ago and, not having read the novel, I thought it was great. The scenes were perfect, the costumes were great, and so was the cast (with the exception of Keanu Reeves, everytime I saw him I erased him from the screen). Having seen it I bought the book and read it. It is amazing how this movie and the book it comes out of can be so different. One might even think that Coppola is just ripping everybody off by giving the title "Bram Stoker's Dracula". Bram must be rolling in his grave. To begin with, Dracula is supposed to be ruthless, unloving, a monster, a senseless beast; while in the movie he behaves as if he had problems of the heart, making him look like an emotional doof. Coppola was trying to say that even the lord of darkness has a heart. Bram never intended that to happen! Dracula is the enemy of humanity, he has no heart! Second, Bram's Renfield is an important element to the story. His quest to acquire life does not make him an absolute lunatic, he looks more like an eccentric intellectual. Coppola's Renfield is just a damn sorry loony with no vital role in the movie. Third, now that I think about it, I didn't really know what was going on in the movie. Places and events were so mixed up that one just sits and admires the special effects and scenery. For those who haven't read the novel, Coppola throws an endless bunch of intermixed scenes which would make sense to one who's read it, but which are badly done and totally cut. Basically this movie, though it has some awesome scenes, is a rip-off. I haven't yet seen other significant Dracula movies, but this is definitely one which is like any cheap Hollywood rendering of good novels. It's a lot of flash and hype, but there's little benath it. Read the novel, it contains much more action and suspense than the movie and it's a lot clearer than the movie will ever be.

Sleepy Hollow

I found watching this DVD is like being in a movie theater. The Dolby Digtial 5.1 Soundtrack was pleasing. The picture quality was good, and had a nice essence of black and flesh tones. Also this is one great movie. It's scary, fun, sexy, and it has a lot of suspense.

Wertmuller is amazing

Director Lina Wertmuller's provocative film takes the class struggle to a desert island where only the man and the woman exist. Wertmuller's scenario is that of the man assuming the role of ruler and the woman one of worker-slave, and this becomes a love relationship. Naturally, the man is the one most reluctant to go back to the society where he is worker-slave and the woman is ruler over him! The black humor is wonderful because it is visual, via the camera angles and shots, and it is beautifully filmed. I'm afraid the new version, from what I've heard,(and I will not pay to see it)meddles with the ending and hence changes the meaning of the film. With a world-class filmmaker like Lina Wertmuller, why fix what isn't broke and do a remake of a perfectly fine work of art?

I loved this movie!!!

"Spy Game" is probably the best espionage thriller since "Enemy of the State". It is an incredible blend of international intrigue, action and some of the most realistic spy craft I've seen in a movie in a long time. Make no mistakes, this is no James Bond flick. This could be the most real-to-life story you'll never hear about.
Tom Bishop (Brad Pitt) is a CIA operative who goes rogue in the field, running a risky rescue mission to free a British national from a Chinese prison. When the mission fails, Bishop is tried as a common criminal, found guilty and sentenced to execution. With a major U.S.-Chinese trade agreement in the making, the CIA decides to wash its hands and sweep this one under the rug.
Nathan Muir (Robert Redford) is on his last day at the Agency when he is tipped off about Bishop's capture. With less than 24 hours before Bishop's execution and the highest levels of the CIA working against him, Muir puts everything he has on the line to save the life of the man he recruited, trained and worked with from Vietnam to Beirut.
