Just for "young" girls? I don't think so

This movie is for women of all ages. I have been wondering why hollywood never makes a GOOD woman's movie. Here is one, finally. When you consider the huge sales of romance novels, which are basically all the same, there has to be an extremely unfullfilled audience out there!!! I thought Danielle was just a shade too modern, but the movie was too wonderful to quibble about. Dougray Scott was incredible. I hope he is cast as a leading man more often. I saw he was in MI2, but can't remember him. In this movie, he beats every established hollywood hunk by at least a mile.

Aren't you scared little boy? Those teeth don't frighten me.

"Your movie? I wish it was your movie. I wish I hadn't blown every dime I ever had into making this stink bomb; and if I ever see ya again, I'llllllll kill ya!!!" Too much for words. Favorite movie? Not for everyone; though I must confess: this is my favorite movie! Would love to see more like this. Maybe in the future, Depp and cast will do a zany remake. And I sure hope ...they don't yank this DVD again from US distributers before the public gets a chance to purchase. When the release date arrives, I may just have to buy two copies.

UM... WOW!...Holy S**T!

Get ready to get blown out of your seat! I've played this sucker for (at the time) non-Robbie fans and all were just absolutely stunned by this show. The energy and work ethic is unmatchable as this guy has 125,000 people in his back pocket. Production value is extraordinary, catching Robbie and the band in some amazing moments. The Robbie Williams Dancers alone are worth the purchase. RW will never be big here mainly because of two things: (1)A very curious approach by his record company in marketing him, and (2) Most U.S. critics rip British artists unfairly (See Oasis for example). U.S. industry loves to overrate and over hype it's artists: Dave Matthews, Three Doors Down, Matchbox Twenty, Korn, Limp Bisquit, The whole watered down R & B movement, West coast "skateboard" punk-lite bands...all painfully average at best. Anyway, buy this baby and you'll watch it non-stop! Thank you Britian!

Highly Recommended

Great film, great cast!!!Corey Haim plays Wheelchair Bound Marty,a 12 year old boy in a small town.Strange murders are happening in the town and eventually Corey and his older sister discover who the werewolf is.Gary Busey is superb as the borderline drunk uncle who builds asuped up motorised wheel chair called the silver bullet for Corey.Corey Haim gives avery good performance for his age but he goes on to make films that do not show his true acting ability which is a real shame

Look closer...

Behind every set of eyes there is someone who you only thought you knew. Behind closed doors on tidy suburban streets life takes place in ways less perfect than we wish it really was. Yet... there IS so much beauty in the world - if only we have the eyes to see it. Lester, you DO rule!

Roman Holiday (Special Collector's Edition) - movie DVD cover picture

"Roman Holiday" hasn't remained an audience and critical favorite simply based on sentiment. It remains a delightful and romantic tale (undoubtedly rooted in fantasy) that can be viewed repeatedly without losing any charm. The usual synonym for Audrey Hepburn's performance (enchanting) is still true after 50 years. The DVD transfer is one of the best I've seen; if you suspend reality for a while you would swear it was the print of a brand-new film. The clarity and sound are excellent and the extras are a real treat for diehard fans of the movie.
When my aunt finally relented and purchased a DVD player, this was the first movie I sent her to start her collection. What better compliment can there be for this ageless classic?

this is an incredible collection of songs and shows. the episode with captain ed and the sasquatch is a classic. captain ed telling the d about his adventures in the rock world is alone worth the price of this excellent dvd "I ate a horse, drove a car into a hotel room, had a threeway with a pair of siamese twins, janis joplin was throwing up and doing the dishes", etc etc....

LOST is currently THE best drama on TV

I live in Hawaii and was immediately intrigued when talk of 2 new shows were going to be filmed on Oahu. While the show "Hawaii" was cancelled, LOST became an immediate hit, with similar audiences who find the show "24" appealing. It is not just some castaways/gilligan's island idea. Rather, it mixes the daily survival stories of the cast with flashbacks of their lives before the crash, their hopes and struggles, and perhaps why they happened to be on that flight. It also mixes realism of basic survival skills with a hint of science fiction/mysticism. Are there really dinosaur-like creatures on the island? What about the "others" who reside there? Is this actually a level of hell or afterlife, as each character seems to be working on their inner demons from their life before becoming lost? It is questions like these along with hints and foreshadowing throughout each episode (that I believe become easier to see when viewed more than once) that make this show so fascinating to watch. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly suggest starting from the beginning, use surround sound, with your house lights off (and preferably raining and thundering outside)!

Innovative, risky but not boring, not mainstream

I think a lot of people are going to miss the point of this DVD. But I for one was taken on ride I didn't expect and one I can appreciate amongst the current level of health and safety style music DVDs out there. Again this band keeps on doing it like no other. Completely original material, not an old pop video or pre album gig in sight
5:1 sounds absolutely great and that's the key isn't it? I actually managed to listen to this DVD; while at the same time was introduced to alternative modes of thought and some very cool visuals. No it doesn't move at a pace that the MTV generation would appreciate but I don't see how a one dimensional term like 'boring' can be used to describe this DVD, it kept me up all night!! Take a risk, open your mind, borrow it, then buy it.

Thank you Mr. Tarantino !!

Kill Bill is one of the most entertaining action movies I've seen in years, though it's very graphic & violent... so definitely not for kids. I'd include it in a list of my top 10 favorites. Uma is amazing here, wow, she kicks major a**. This movie has a very beautiful style to it. The music was enjoyable and fits the movie perfectly. I'll probably buy the soundtrack as well. I rented this movie then returned it, only to buy it the same day, it's that good. I didnt really care for a few things: the switching to black & white then color again- because the color in this movie is fantasic, the occasional subtitles- I always have to pause the movie to read what they say cuz it's so fast, however I can understand and respect the director's reasoning for it to keep Kill Bill's authentic japanese feel, and also the japanese anime- I didn't come to watch cartoons. Visually this movie is amazing though!! It blew me away. I really liked the plot and I thought all the actors did a great job. The stunts and sword fights are top notch. (Uma's steel is sweet huh?) The DVD features both Dolby Digital & DTS 5.1 The "special features" are really lacking here unfortunately. Bonus performances by the "5,6,7,8's"? You're joking right? I really wish they would've made this a 2 disc collector's edition (like Pulp Fiction), but I imagine they probably will a few months down the road. Special note to the genius director...Please keep making movies Mr.Tarantino!! Your fans want a Kill Bill volume 3,4,5,6,7,8 too. Anyways, this movie rocks. Highly Recommended!
