Just because you?re paranoid...

Just because you are paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you.
The title says it all and you have seen it a million times. You have to figure out who the good guys are and who the bad guys are shades of the "Bourn Identity" appear as Jerry Fletcher (Mel Gibson) must find out not only who they are but who he is? And will Alice Sutton (Julia Roberts) believe him or not or is she the bad guy or a target?
Aside from the plot is powerful acting by powerful actors. How do they handle trust?

Hitchcock-style Thriller Grabs On and Doesn't Let Go

Charles Drood (Tom Hulce) is in the wrong place at the wrong time. By no fault of his own, he is caught in the middle of a tangled web of murder, deceit, and police corruption. With few clues to go on, he must untangle the web before it entraps him completely. The plot twists in this video wend unceasingly right to the end of the movie. If you like Hitchcock, you just might enjoy this video. It's one of my favorites.

This sequel is better than the first!

This movie covers a crime most people know nothing about. Indentity fraud. At least they don't know about it until it's too late. The Inspectors did a great job by adding Michael Madsen (many gangster movies, THe Big Apple) to the cast. He always play an excellent bad guy and doesn't let you down here. I see an Inspectors 3 in the future.

Incredible Piece of Filmmaking!!!

I don't think there is one bad thing I could say about "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof"! I love everything about it!
The film revolves around a wealthy family in the south and how they are coping with the impending death of "Big Daddy," the family patriarch. The two main characters are Maggie (Elizabeth Taylor) and Brick (Paul Newman). Maggie and Brick's marriage is on the rocks because of demons in the past. Brick, who has a drinking problem has just recently broken his leg while trying to run hurtles and is confined to the big house while the family awaits Big Daddy's return from a special clinic. At first, the family in convinced that Big Daddy will be fine and that there's nothing to be worried about, but soon the truth (in everyone's lives) starts to come out and the family is turned upside down.
Each of the cast members gave incredible performances in this film. You can't help but get caught up in the interesting lives of this large southern family. I would highly recommend this film to anyone, period. It's one of the classics that everyone should watch at least once in your life! You won't be disappointed!!!!

Legendary Singer/Great DVD!!!!

Don't know what the previous reviewer was looking for, but I LOVE this video. You get a glimpse of Merle in 3 different stages of his career. The first back in the '70's when Merle was the premier country act, evident by the fact Willie Nelson and Johnny Paycheck were opening acts and appear briefly on stage. The second is early/mid 80's and Merle has aged, but still sounds great singing ballad after ballad, and the third is a TNN concert special Merle did in the late 80's, still sounding great wether it be singing, playing his guitar, or playing the fiddle. I enjoyed it so much I'm considering buying a second copy as a backup.

Psychic Force - movie DVD cover picture
Great, even if you don't know anything about the games

Psychic Force 2010 was a little unknown fighting game that came out for the Playstation five or so years ago. Although the graphics were a little less impressive than most fighters, it offered an interesting take on the fighting arena(you fought in a psychic "square") as well as characters with intriguing elemental powers and storylines that attempted to go beyond the "avenging his dead father" motives. Unfortunetly, little of that fighting concept makes it to the movie, however, it does succeed in rising above most game to anime movies.
Anyone who is familiar with fighting games and anime knows that the games don't translate so well when animated( The original Street Fighter movie is just one of many examples). Part of that reason is because that there is too many characters that are merely crammed in for screen time. Psychic Force did not offer a populated cast until the second game, so characters that made it onscreen, although they may have not been given much background information, managed to pull off an effective presence rather than being there for the sake of being animated.
In the year 2010, and army known as Noah rises up led by the mysterious man known as Wong. This army strives to build a Utopia for Psychicers(whom have been oppressed by human ignorance) which have abilities beyond those of normal humans. News of the new leader of this army, Keith Evans, reaches the ears of Burn Griffith who was his former friend who has been searching for him for three years. Why has Keith joined the ranks of Noah, and what are Wong's true motives? Is Keith really willing to sacrifice human lives to build his Utopia?
This is a character driven anime which focuses on the relationship between Keith and Burn. Burn was looking for Keith in the Psychic Force game and this movie shows how the two of them came about to meet. Those who adored Keith in the game may want to leave all their conceptions about him behind, what you are presented with is a much more childish and almost effeminite Keith. The relationship borders on almost embarrasing fluff, however this takes this anime in a bold step toward adding plot in a fighting game movie.
The few battles that make it to the screen are well executed, although the animators should have refrained from using stills and reusing frames. The animation is fluid, with nice colorization and shadows that accent the creative character designs. This DVD also comes packaged with fun extras, including a small cosplay contest, not to mention a catchy theme song sung by the talented Tomakazu Seki.
The Psychic Force anime makes a nice move by adding character development and smooth animation, however ends in a cliff hanger that will more than likely not be finished. For those unfamiliar with Psychic Force may want to rent this one first to see if it is their niche, those who are looking forward to more of this under rated game should check it out.

As good as it gets

All previous releases of "Metropolis" are going to seem remarkably grungy compared to this one. Kino Video, Transit Film, the Murnau Foundation, and a small army of dedicated people have put a great deal of work and care into producing the most complete version of "Metropolis" that anyone has seen since its premiere. Although about a quarter of the footage is still missing, the new restoration restores not only the surviving footage but a great deal of the story line as well. We learn (among many other things) why the Robot is female, why 'she' tries to destroy the city, and why Rotwang appears to go mad toward the end of the film; secondary characters like Josephat, 11811, and 'Slim' are fleshed out, and Alfred Abel's character Joh Fredersen is given much more depth.
The picture quality is now comparable to that of a well-preserved '40s or '50s sound film; some of the effects scenes were entirely reconstructed from the original optical elements, and unobtrusive intertitles have been added to fill us in on parts of the film for which the footage has been lost. The soundtrack is the original orchestral score-- something for which I am extremely grateful. There have been several releases of "Metropolis" with soundtracks that had nothing to do with the film (random selections of old foxtrots or classical music)-- the original score holds the film together in a way that I've never experienced before. This is now a movie!
The DVD contains some nice extras; production and advertising art, two featurettes ("The Metropolis Case" and "The Restoration"), and various bits of background info. There is also an audio commentary by Enno Patalas, which is both informative and insightful and makes many relevant references to Thea von Harbou's original novel.
In short: if you want a copy of "Metropolis", this is the one to get.
