Julia My Sweetheart!

Did you like "my Best Friend's Wedding" and "Notting Hill"? If yes, so this is the perfect Movie for you! It's just terribly funny and Julia is in it! The Humor is great! The Cast is perfect and Julia is just gorgeous again!
Ignore the bad critics about "America's Sweethearts" cause this Movie rules! If you don't see it you are a huge fool! The Trailer is nothing compered to the Movie! The Soundtrack is great! But the Movie itself is just spec-tac-ular!!!
Be sure to watch this Movie cause if you don't you'll miss the most romantic Comedy of this Century!

The Devil's Advocate - movie DVD cover picture
Sensational!

I loved this movie. Outstanding in practically every way. Al Pacino's portrayal of Lucifer is exactly how I have always perceived the dark angel to be. The devil does not have horns or a tail, he has the face of man himself. I am always amazed at how the religious zealots seem to conveniently forget that Lucifer was the highest angel, an archangel, thrown out of heaven because of his arrogance and rebelliousness, not because he was a mad demon.
Pacino plays this character beautifully - he is sly, charismatic, chilling, and seductive all at once. One of my favorite scenes was the elevator scene where Milton bates Kevin's mother by calling her "Mrs. Lomax" and asking her slyly that "surely this wasn't her first trip to New York". Absolutely wicked! Then, as Milton casually wisks Kevin off to a night on the town at the Flamingo club and the boxing match (naturally Don King would have an alliance with Satan), I was mezmerized watching Milton weave his spell and reel Kevin smoothly into his web. Pacino's climaxtic argument is brilliant as he exclaims that he's a fan of man and why. As I watched Kevin's descent from Maryann,(Charlize Theron and Keanu had wonderful chemistry as a married couple),I was reminded of how we all make certain decisions then try to justify our actions later, usually with the precursor that, "It wasn't MY fault, it was the work of Satan... then, like Kevin, we make the same decisions over and over.
I thought Keanu Reeves was perfect as the cool, arrogant, hotshot attorney who knows that he is so...good. I am completely baffled by all the haters panning Keanu's acting, he did a great job. I thought the casting of all the actors were on point in this movie, everyone connected with each other and with their characters.
My only complaint is that the deleted scenes cannot not be viewed without the director's commentary. The sub-titles can't even be displayed. While this DVD has one of the best director's commentary's, it would be nice to have the option of watching the deleted scenes on their own since these scenes contribute to the continuity of the story and clear up questions a viewer may have. Overall, this movie is just outstanding!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE

I USED TO WATCH THIS MOVIE WHEN I WAS A KID ALL THE TIME. IT'S BEEN ABOUT 15 YEARS SINCE THE LAST TIME I SAW IT. I REMEMBER EVERY TIME I WATCHED IT I WOULD CRY. IT WAS REALLY SAD AT THE END, BUTI THINK IT'S A GREAT MOVIE. I AM SO HAPPY I FINALLY FOUND IT ON DVD I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS MOVIE EVERYWHERE. IT IS A LITTLE SCARY, KIDS 5 YEARS AND OLDER WOULD APPRECIATE IT MORE THAN YOUNGER KIDS AND NOT BE SCARED. YOUR KID WILL LOVE IT AS I DO.

Rushmore - movie DVD cover picture
Wes Anderson's sophmore release is outstanding!

In Rushmore, the character of Max Fisher dabbles in all sorts of activities and dons a red beret. He's proud to be an overachiever. Some people would mistake him for being a geek. By all accounts he does look geeky. But it's more of geek chic. He would have gotten the lonely, sexy, and intelligent Miss Cross if it weren't for his age of 15. But Max can do anything he wants to. He goes for it and achieves it. No fuss, no muss. Just calm, cool, collected smarts. Or shall I say Wes Anderson smarts. Even Scorcese acknowledges the greatness of Anderson in the March 2000 issue of Esquire. Also, make sure to rent Bottle Rocket, equally poetic and equally touching.

Begun the Clone War has !

PICTUREThis DVD exibits an outstanding picture quality, there is no noise, pixelation or imperfection, the picture colors are the most natural colours i ever seen on an DVD. There is no compresion artifacs whatsoever on this DVD (wich is visible on some scenes in The Phantom Menace DVD), and is very hard to say if the digital video transfer process has involved some Edge Enhancement (also visible in The Phantom Menace DVD).This DVD is really a reference in how is supposed to be movies presented on DVD ! You can calibrate an check an Home Theater system with it, for every subsystem, video or audio.SOUNDThe 5.1 Dolby Digital EX (matrixed 6.1) sound is awsome, rich and enveloping, the surround channels is often used, creating deep involving in the action on the screen. As in The Phantom Menace, the overall sound volume in Attack of the Clones is a little low (by 4-5 dB), but that is to allow the LFE channel to thrive in full packed action scenes.CONTENTThe movie is great, though i was a little disappointed after the first view (not the same as The Phantom Menace, who has blown me away after first view in theater). In comparasion to The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones does not have a musical score strong enough, there is a lot of incidental music and some parts of The Phantom Menace score. The Phantom Menace score was great made, as great as the musical score of the old trilogy. Still, Attack of the Clones is beautiful made, the music is flowing alongside picture, the story is good and if you think that the dialogue is stiff please check the DVD audio commentary made by George Lucas and his fellows from Lucasfilm and Industrial Light + Magic, that will put you on the right track, your bad opinion will be changed from that moment !DVD RELATED CONTENTThe DVD system of menus is as good as in The Phantom Menace DVD, in some places are even greater, there are some scenes specialy made for the menu, that are never seen on the movie, the outtakes ar still in the same place, at the THX Optimizer, 1138 key code. The second disc has the same layout as the second disc of The Phantom Menace of course, the documentaries and featurets are good, maybe not as good as those of The Phantom Menace, the deleted scenes ar somewhat a little raw, not as finished as those from The Phantom Menace but that will do. There is only one hidden easter egg, not as many as in The Phantom Menace second disc DVD.CONCLUSION Overall, a very good movie on an extraordinary made DVD, a true reference !!!

Dead of Night

A literate, British chiller that is more unsettling than scary. Though Rod Serling is not around to confirm it, this could have inspired his wildly inventive Twilight Zone series which followed over a decade later. Hang on particularly for Michael Redgrave's paralyzing turn as a ventriloquist whose dummy controls him.

BEST MOVIE EVER!!!

......as does Bonnie Hunt as parents played in a movie that tells the slapstick tale of one huge family - obviously fictional. "Mom" Bonnie Hunt authors a book on the story of her abundant family and gets published but also has to promotionally tour which gets us to the point. "Dad" played by Steve Martin is left solo to manage this enormous tribe of children and simultaneously handle his new job as a football coach. Note the irony? He can coach a band of bravado football players but has trouble using similar techniques to "control" his children. Hilary Duff is adorable as a teenage daughter and the remaining entourage of grade schoolers is well cast and hilariously well directed. It's rather silly at times but that's part of the charm and only Steve Martin's timing could pull off the slapstick but it's a family flick without stress or news of war or to simply escape the mundane for parents and kids together.

seven is a good movie

I watched seven for the first time this past weekend at a friends party it was very good it had good actors and good screen play the visual affects were also very interesting the only part that I did't care for was when freeman and pitt took the killer out in the dessert and freeman opened the box and it had the head of the woman who played pitt's wife in the movie in it and the killer said she had begged for her life and the unborn baby in her stomach.
