Judi Rules !

I agree completely with the other positive reviews of "The Last of the Blonde Bombshells", so I'll not repeat the plot details, and other comments. The film is a delight !I must express my frustration that witty, poignant films like this, clearly aimed at an older audience, do not seem to appear in the local cineplex. There may be one or two actresses in the world as good as Dame Judi--but none are better. She really shines here, even in a cast of superb veteran British actors, not to mention non-Brits Dukakis and Caron. So nice to see Ms. Caron on screen again, even in a cameo, some 50 years after "An American in Paris".So--a real winner--and the price is right.Recommended.
One very sad footnote--I believe that this was Joan Sims' last film. Ms. Sims was a delightful character actress, and, of course, an indispensible member of the legendary "Carry On Gang".She will be missed.

Total disbelief

I'm of the first generation MTV viewers. That is I used to watch Martha Quinn and other VJs play videos 24 hours a day. I never missed Headbanger's Ball on Saturady night and loved Miss Julie Brown's show on Sunday afternoon. That being said I haven't watched MTV in over ten years since the channel went to hell in a handbasket. I had heard of the show Jackass, but never bothered watching. Since it was on MTV, I could only guess it was either a half hour or hour of more MTV stupidity.
Well I rented the movie on a goof and was in total disbelief. Don't get me wrong, I was on the floor rolling with laughter and howling at these idiots. I mean c'mon, this is the lowest common denominator for entertainment. Paper cuts between the toes, shooting bottle rockets from their butts, and beating a fat naked man on the toilet.
The golf blowhorn was a hoot as was the Japanese Panda Anarchy. The last straw was the lubed Hotwheels in the anus though. Thank God that's where the movie ended. I had had enough at that point. Attempted oral sex with whale sharks is one thing, but an X-ray of your butt cavity as a toy box is beyond relief.
I don't think I could have a steady diet of this stuff, but I'd watch it again. For shock value alone (and I think that's the point) this DVD goes above and beyond.

History repeats it's self..only this time ..She exists.

one of my all-time best movies ..a film that's worthy to watch over and over for it's richness in story , direction , acting and a wonderfull Sound track by Zbigniew Preisner that would certainly impact You..About the movie ,that paranormal atmosphere within the relationships of the characters in that movie gives it such an enigmatic feel with a surprising end ...for you'll figure out some how that it's a story about fate and history that almost repeats it's self..( a complex linking ) but this time..that gentle pretty young woman exists to change that history repeating it's self with her fate..................

I laughed 'til it hurt

I can't remember the last time I laughed so long and so hard. At times, I was laughing so hard that I couldn't breathe. The rest of the time, I was merely laughing constantly.
This is a wacky, low-budget, straight-to-video film. However, it has good production values, and a few well known actors. And it succeeds where many similar films have failed. Mainly, it doesn't take itself seriously, and thus all cheesiness is purposely used for comedic effect, rather than being an effect of bad writing/acting. I especially liked how they didn't resort to the painful fish-out-of water theme that is common in these types of films; they didn't have any scenes where the aliens failed to comprehend the purpose of some unfamiliar device, and embarassed themselves by doing something inappropriate with it.
However, I realize that the type of humor in this movie won't appeal to everyone, so here's a simple litmus test. If you like wacky, off the wall humor such as:- Monty Python- Clerks: The Animated Series- Invader Zim- Excel Saga- Steve Odekirk's Thumb parodies, such as Thumb WarsThen you will like Evil Alien Conquerors.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Meets Natural Born Killers

If you a true horror movie fan then you will love this movie. If you consider 13 Ghosts a horror movie you will hate it. Rob Zombie did a great job of writing and directing this masterpiece. It's like watching the Texas chainsaw Massacre and Natural Born Killers at the same time. It is a gruesome throwback to the 70's type horror flicks. Its full of blood spattering and gruesome special effects. You will love it or hate it.

This is the greatest movie on the face of the planet!

The movie was a roller coaster of wild animals, exotic plants and terrifyingly real special effects. The story is of a man who gets trapped in side a mysterious board game for 26 years, and then, is released by two inquisitive children. The movie continues with heart pounding action scenes, and wonderful awe inspiring graphics, which won't end until the game is finished and the name JUMANJI is said!

High Plains Drifter - movie DVD cover picture
They'll never forget the day this Stranger came to down.

If you're not sure what you're getting into, HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER may repulse you. It's shocking, cruel, immoral, violent, and outright sadistic. Man, is it great! Eastwood takes "The Man With No Name" persona and pushes him into a new realm, sucking all essence of humanity out of him and creating a striking, mesmerizing, and unique "hero". The film almost becomes an oblique work of art, and this plus its harshness might turn-off the more conventional film goer. But there's no denying the film's power and quality.
