Joshua - movie DVD cover picture
Joshua is a special movie.

In the Joshua series of books and now the movie author Joe Girzone in simple terms presents some profound thoughts. Principally that the Secret of Life is "not how much wealth we each accumulate over our lifetime but how we each use the unique skills and talents that God has given us to help others along the way". The Joshua movie with the help of a terrific cast shows us in an entertaining way the importance of using "love" instead of "hate" in our daily lives.
This movie is a must-see for people of all ages in particularly for the youth of today some of whom could use help as far as establishing values and using role models. If you know a child that is taking any type of religious instruction, the Joshua movie would be a perfect gift.
The DVD also contains cast interviews and background that put a personal touch on the special theme of this movie.

great instruction

I really enjoyed this video, Neon teaches and performs on an all black background so there are no distractions. The video also has illustrations for body and arms and that really helps whan you are not sure what she is doing. She wears an outlandish green bra and miniskirt and at first I thought it was quite funny but soon realized it is helpful in order to see her movements. She also tells you what knid of tray to use and how to arrange the flowers. All in all this video is very good instruction, and Neon has a cute Russian accent too!

A Fun Way to Relax and Have a Mind "Experience"

This is a really neat DVD. You could even call it an "experience". It is hard to describe, but it is very pleasant and so relaxing. I was pretty surprised how I felt when I tried it - much better than the audio tapes I have been using. I really love the images because they are so colorful and interesting. Definitely worth a try! It is relaxing fun!

Its HOT!

I wanted to see Grease because I was in love with Olivia Newton-John. I watched it at a friend's house and loved it all the way through. Great music and great scenes all the way through. Who could forget the race at Thunder Road and the dance off? Of course, the really big scene that stands out in my mind is when Olivia walks up in the skin tight black jeans. What a knockout. The first type of video player I ever owned was the old SelectaVision videodisks that were popular in the early eighties and Grease was one of the first movies I ever owned. I've probably never watched-with the exception of Star Wars-a movie as many times as I've watched Grease. I'm guessing that I've probably watched it about 50 to 60 times all the way through. I can't imagine anyone not liking it.

The best jail-film I have ever seen

Jackie plays not the biggest role in this movie, but maybe the best. Great fight-scenes and dramatical moments. Samo is also great and you can see him at his father role. great! You have to see this movie at the original version. It will be your favorite prison-movie ever.

Tyler Durden, Tyler Durden!!

This movie is genius. I'm a woman and I found this movie great! Brad Pitt and Ed Norton are wonderful, and Helena Bohnam Carter is sensational as the neurotic Marla. The fight scenes are so real I wanted to jump up and yell stop! This movie is a gem and a must see. The movie begins with Ed Norton a normal guy who just cant sleep. So, he gets intertwined in the lives of support groups during his late night hours and they help him sleep like a baby. While faking every illness that the others in the groups have he meets Marla. She even participates in a testicular cancer group. The nerve of this women, but she figures hey she doesnt have testicles, why not. Just as neurotic as he is they begin divying up the groups. But things begin to occure in Norton's life that he just cant explain after a plane ride where he meets Tyler Durden, played by Brad Pitt. All the wild signs point to one man...Tyler Durden. Tyler seems to be an excentric soap manufacturer but he is so much more. Having Tyler in Norton's life helps him change for the best and for the worst. This movie is a must see!

... and the bewildering nightmare of life without it--therein lies the crux of "Memento", a quietly brilliant film by Christopher Nolan. The film's opening credits, set over the image of a Polaroid photograph in the reverse process of developing itself, indicates the way the story will unfold--backwards. The cast is filled with first-rate actors, headed by Guy Pearce in a mesmerizing performance as Leonard Shelby--driven, tormented, with a sallow, haunted visage that is maintained throughout the film-who suffers from a rare medical condition which has robbed him of short-term memory. He is on a relentless quest to find and kill the man who attacked and murdered his wife, and who is responsible for Leonard's memory malfunction. The "rub" is that Leonard can't possibly remember the identity of the assailant. Leonard is only able to track him down by the use of Polaroid photos scribbled with reminders, a few odd post-it notes, and, most chillingly, by tattooing clues to his body, including a constant reminder of the reason for his mission, emblazoned backwards across his chest, readable only by use of a mirror. (An aside: "We all need mirrors to remind ourselves who we are", says Leonard at the end of the film-but the film's question to the audience seems to be: what does that mirror reflect? And can we always believe in the truth of that reflection?) While some may find the vigilante aspect of the main character abhorrent, the audience's empathy for Leonard is gained by the poignancy of his plight. In one heart-wrenching scene, Leonard, while burning some of his wife's belongings, wonders if he has ever similarly disposed of her things before and thinks: "I can't remember to forget you." "Memento" is an astonishing homily about guilt and vengeance (and is vengeance ever really attainable?), manipulation and betrayal, and the lies we often force ourselves to believe when we fall into our own self-inflicted episodes of short-term memory. NOTE: Those with short-attention spans need not apply! This film demands from its audience absolute attention from beginning to end.

Hottest Guy And Thriller Movie

I didn't see the Matrix in a theater, and I'm dissapointed that I didn't. My friends said it was an excellent movie. I'm in high school, and they thought it was great. I rented it when it came out on video, and the first time I saw it, I wasn't sure I even liked it. The whole idea was new to me. I watched it again and was blown away. The "dream world" was done so well with the bullet time and even though the plot was good, the dialogue had a chance to become cliche and obvious, but it didn't. I can't say much here to tell someone about the movie, they have to go and see it to get what I mean. [...]
