Jonny Quest - Enough Said!

What can be said about Jonny Quest. This cartoon is unlike any I have ever seen. It was so serious and so darn cool. This show canme out in the 60's WWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY before my time, and I still find it to be wonderful. Jonny is very smart, very eager and very determined. Hadji is the perfect sidekick with his mystical powers and awesome turban. Bandit the pup serves as a comic relief and is funny. Race is just too cool, I mean he can fly a fa-reakin plane and fight and Dr. Quest is sophisticated. The places they went gave me an insight look into the different cultures around the world and the plots were very imaginative. JQ combined science fiction fantasy and geography into a very impressive 30 minute cartoon sitcom. The first season is amazing and I am glad that have realeased it on DVD. It is a must for any JQ fan. But don't take my word for it, you buy it and experience the Quest!

Best Show on Television

Gritty, poignant, and suspense-filled, Deadwood has brought back the Western in a bigger way than was thought possible. The story of this outlaw-infested place, where Wild Bill Hickock, played by Keith Carradine, was brutally gunned down, is based on the real events of the town of Deadwood. The acting, writing and direction are first-rate across the board. Al Swearingen, played by Timothy Olyphant, is a murderous amoral brothel and tavern owner and one of the best television characters in the history of the small screen. I count the days until March 6 when the series returns.

Unfairly Disparaged

People love to bash this movie for what they see as "bad acting, bad script, bad plot, bad directing etc." However, this is only due to the movie's style being taken out of context. This movie is exceedingly surreal and fabulous within that context. Take this movie out of that context and you will find it terrible. Those who don't like it do so only because of a persional taste, which is understandable. But, do let their opinions cloud the more important issues. That said, here are the specs: (in a very small nutshell) A toy factory owner dies, leaving it to his militaristic brother, who begins to alter the factory, leading to the former owners son and daughter to fight back. The movie is very different, anyone who enjoys Monty Python movies, or Douglas Adams books, will like this movie. The anti-war message will also appeal to all peace-loving citizens. I highly recommend this movie.

A Great Workout

This tape is challenging and fun to use. Once again Kathy gives several different levels of intensity so it only becomes too easy if you let it. She uses interval training in this one so you have two minutes of high intensity areobics followed by an "active recovery" - as you catch your breath she leads you through a series of squats and other lower body strengthening. I'm usually sweating pretty hard by the end. I could do without the fake smiles plastered on the girls' behind her, but otherwise I look forward to popping in this tape and working my butt off - literally!

Cinderella Saves Her Prince

Superbe! Magnifique! Excellente! Mere words cannot do justice to the artistry that is Ever After. The classic Cinderella story is retold (some may suggest reworked) in this gloriously delightful film. It will charm you, make you laugh, make you cry-- the whole gamut of human emotions! Brilliant casting all around... Bravo, bravo, bravo!

The Best in the series!

A Slight improvement over the last installment, Freddy Krueger ( Robert Englund) himself returns once again to haunt the dreams of teens and murder them in various ways, now Nancy Thomas ( Heather Langekamp) from the original "Nightmare" returns to kick Freddy's big burned butt.
Slightly imaginative sequel with great special effects, good direction by Chuck Russell ( Director of " The Mask" and " The Blob remake"), good fun and not to mention apperences by John Saxton from the original and Larry " Laurence" Fishburne from " The Matrix".

A Classic Movie For ALL!

Harry Potter lives in #4 Privet Drive under the stairs. He lives with his Aunt and Uncle and he's cousin. After going to the zoo, Harry gets into trouble with Uncle Vernon and Vernon locks Harry in his room. Soon after that, letters for Harry are arriving through the door, down the chimney and even in a pack of eggs (which is a deleted scence on Disc 2). Soon, Harry learns he is in fact a wizard, and his parents were wizards. He goes to Hogwarts to learn magic. At Hogwarts, Harry meets some friends, and some enemies. The Quidditch game is an impressive scence. Hagrid keeps repeating "I shuldn't have told you that" whenever he gives away something important. Disc Two contains a tour of Hogwarts, explains the game of Quidditch, Interviews with the Moviemakers, classrooms, library, and other stuff. To unlock the deleted scences on Disc 2, you have to get a wand from Diagon Alley first. To get to Fluffy, go to the "Classrooms" menu. Everything is clickable in this menu. Good luck.

a true classic for all time

i remember the first time i viewed this film and how it blew me away.still does.while many may consider "enter the dragon" bruce lee's best film,i have to put my money on "chinese connection",or
"fists of fury" as it was known in hong kong.the story is loosely
based on a factual incident in the death of ho yuen chiou,a famous and outstanding martial artist who did in fact die under rather mysterious circumstances.there are other historical footnotes in the film, such as the ching wu school, signs saying,"sick man of asia"and "no dogs or chinese allowed" at the gate to the park on the Bund in is easy to understand the chinese viewers reaction to this picture when bruce lee stands up for the honor of china against the foreign(japanese, french, american, etc.)im perialists.this is a movie for the people.the oppressed and downtrodden...."now you listen to me, and i'll only say it once.We are not sick men". and to this day there exists a ching wu school of martial arts in china.right on brothers!
