It beats DBZ

The first time I ever heard about Gundam Wing, I was clueless. Then when I saw the promo on Cartoon Network for the first time, it raised an eye brown. When I finally saw it that first day it was aired, I had to pick my jaw up from the ground! I was blown away by this anime show, it amazed me that an anime that was made in the 70/80's could be this good.
Human beings from earth want to live more peaceful lives. They build five colonies up in space and live peacfully under the ruler Heero Yuy. When HY was assasinated by some unknown organazation, communucation cease between the colonies and this was the reason for strengthening the government power on earth. The united earth's speare alliance begins taking over the colonies one by one and controlling them with force. The colonies are tired of being suppressed, so they send down five pilots of mobile suits called Gundams to earth, disguising them as shooting stars.
I have seen the whole Gundam Wing series, and have yet to see Endless Waltz-the sequel to Gundam Wing. In my opinion, it beats Dragon Ball Z by not only the animation quality, good dubbing, originality and depth of the story, great character development (some of the girls may be questionable) but the emotional feeling you actually get from watching the show. Some of the characters you can even see a significant change in them by the end of the series. You will be hooked within a few episodes, or like me and a lot of other people, the first day. As for a final rap up, the music is great and was done by TWO MIX, awesome mecha's, and good voice artists including Scott Mcneil (Piccolo from DBZ) and Ward Perry (Yamcha from DBZ).
Get this, you won't be dissapointed!

Buy This Workout

I've had the pleasure of having practiced with Beryl in NYC for the past four years and having this video has enabled me to bring her special brand wisdom and expertise right into my living room for those days when actually practicing in person is impossible. For anyone who hasn't been lucky enough to see Beryl in action, this workout is a must.
Beryl breathes this practice (no pun intended:) And because it is so much a part of her, so integral to who she is, you feel like you are in the hands of a true expert. Her presentation is calm and clear and you truly get the feeling that wherever you are in your practice, in general or that day, it's ok.
The fact that there are many levels represented on the video makes it easy to feel comfortable, no matter what level you are or how you're feeling at the moment. Even after practicing for years, it's helped me to push to the next level being able to watch those on the video that are more advanced than I am, which is great.
Bottom line, I can't recommend Power Yoga The Workout enough. It's a rare opportunity to practice with a rare yogini. Don't miss it.

The Innocent Whore.

Director Federico Fellini was undoubtedly a film maker genius!
Since his earlier works "La Strada" (1954) and "La Dolce Vita" (1960) thru "Fellini Satyricon" (1969) and "Amarcord" (1973) till his lasts "Ginger and Fred" (1986) and "The Voice of the Moon" (1990) he has left a legacy treasure for film lovers and film makers.
Most of his films combine fantasy and reality in a rich mixture with no fixed boundaries. He displays his own personal conflicts in regard to religious belief; sex and love; youngsters' education; political and religious power; richness and poverty; all this themes and more are shown with a visceral approach.
The viewer will be attracted and repelled alternatively and at the end of each of his movies will go out of the theater (or the bed room or living-room) knowing that he/she has assisted to the show of a unique piece of art.

"The Nights of Cabiria" (1957) is still a constituent of the Italian "Neorealist" film school, showing the poorest neighborhood from Rome and its population of outcasts. The influence of this movement will always emerge in Fellini's movies one way or the other.
Cabiria is a whore striving to survive, at the same time her soul is that of an incurable romantic innocent.
The opening scene shows Cabiria being swindled by her lover. She survives to this harassment and continues living her harsh life.
The whole film is an endearing chronicle of her life, dreams, pains, joys and religious faith, but above all a compassionate regard to all her entourage.

The film was awarded with Foreign Film Oscar and Giulietta Masina with Cannes' Best Actress Award for her anthological performance.
A marvelous film to see!

Mallrats makes you want to visit your local mall.

This movie will leave you rolling. If you haven't already seen it, get out from under that rock, and live a little! The crazy storyline, and superb acting in this movie make it just a smash. I have personally seen it over 10 times. I have been reciting from it for about 3 years now. This movie is worth every penny I have spent on it. Every moment of this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. You'll be saying "What's Brodie gonna say next?" and "Will Silent Bob ever talk?" or "Will that guy ever see the hidden picture?".
I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS MOVIE. IT'S FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! Over age 14, that is.

Wonderful

This film is extrapolated from half truths about Mozart's life. It tells the story of Salieri, court composer of Vienna, a mediocre composer and his genius rival Mozart. Salieri has the ability to recognize divine music, and he longs to create such music himself but he doesn't have enough talent. Mozart, has the talent but, in Salieri's eyes, is unworthy of the gift. "Why," he asks God, "do you give me the urge but not the means?"
Mozart's music is for the most part chosen well for the score. It focuses mainly on his operas, and many of Mozart's more famous pieces will not be heard. The only thing that I can't forgive are the singers performing opera segments in English.
F. Murray Abraham is brilliant as Salieri. The scenes where he plays an aged Salieri and the scene in which he renounces God are very stirring. The image of the old composer's face seamlessly flowing from a look of musical rapture to a snarl of envy saturated hatred gives me chills every time I see it.

GREAT

To any 'N Sync fan who has a DVD player, you have to get this one! Much of it is like the video of *N The Mix, but it has some added features: the I Drive Myself Crazy video, a slideshow type thing for each member, and my favorite, the only-released-in Europe, shown on their last tour, U Drive Me Crazy video.

Knights of the Zodiac ROCKS!

"Saint Seiya" is a classic. "Knights of the Zodiac" is not. And that's unfortunate. The original materials had a lot of potential to be a hit. It could've been the next "Dragonball Z", or even the next "Pokemon". But, no. DIC's reckless butchering made this show terrible to watch, with its rewritten dialogue, heavily edited fights, and mediocore music. I hate to say this, because edited or not, this show is still "Saint Seiya" to me, but please -- stay away from this. The only thing that was remotely good about "Knights of the Zodiac" is the theme song, a cover of A Flock of Seagull's "I Ran (So Far Away)". If you are even slightly interested in "Knights of the Zodiac", then do yourself a favor and get the original "Saint Seiya" DVDs. You won't regret it.

Setting the Record Straight! Get Your Ears Checked!

I don't know what all this is about the sound quality being poor on this DVD, but this is the best concert DVD I have, from Bruce or any other artist, and the reason, beyond the fact that Bruce is one of the best, if not the best, performers still showin' us how it's done, is the awesome sound quality. It is so good I burned a audio CD and listen to it all the time. For my money Bruce's songs generally sound better live than in the studio recordings - they benefit so much from having that live energy -so having a great setlist like this to listen to is like a dream come true.

It's over a year later and I still pop this in just to listen to it. And then I'll peek in at the picture and I'm trapped! Whatever I'm doing I stop and watch this thing I've seen a hundred times and still pulls me in! I love this concert!

So how can some reviewers here say the sound is great and others say its so bad that its not worth having? I have two theories: There are some lower quality prints circulating and/or some people have burned copies of this - not the real thing. The only other thing I can think of is that these people so down on this haven't actually seen this DVD. If I'm wrong about that than the only explination I can fathom is my first suspicion that there are some crap copies out there, because mine rocks! Maybe its time for a new TV and some surround sound.

My other beef with some of the reviews I'm seeing here are coments like Bruce looks old, tired, fat and sounds that way too. Again, I don't know what concert you guys are watching! As with the sound quality issue, I had the exact opposite reaction. The first time I watched this all I could think was how fit the Boss is for his age, how much energy he poured out for over 2 and a half straight hours and how I hope I look that good in 25-30 years! So again, did you people actually see this?!?!?!

People have watched this with me - even non-Bruce fans - and have been blown away; mezmerized by the performance! So this is not just me wanting to like this DVD.

I have to give props to three other critics who reviewed this DVD here at Amazon; one who says this is what it is like to be at a Bruce stadium show, and like being right there in Barcelona for this one, another calls it, "absolutly incredible," saying her 13-monh-old is addicted to it (I'm telling you, no one can tear their eyes away from this performance once they start watching it; it's great to hear Bruce can and will touch a whole new generation of fans - I hope when I have a kid they will feel the same), and lastly, the writer who calls this DVD "Simly the Best... 5 stars and more." I couldn't agree with all of you more. Interestingly, all of these reviewers testify the DVD has incredible sound and production values. Why others don't is a mystery, but it is a shame they are making posible buyers wary of this product. All I can say is make sure you buy the real thing and check the sound options on your TV and/or surround sound.

As for the highlights: "Mary's Place" is a high-energy kick. "Dancin' In the Dark's" live treatment bests the synthed-up album version, as does the throbbing, more guitar driven "Born In the USA" (I don't know how anyone can watch him blaze though this tune and say he looks anywhere near old or tired), "Ramrod" here becomes a classic because the whole band infuses a goofy energy and Bruce's piano spots work on a whole other emotional level. Also, this is the only place to see a full, uncut concert (it comes close to the performance I saw last year at Miller Park, but closer to the arena show I saw a year earlier; either way, its like being back there again), get great live performances from "The Rising," and see hits not included on the New York DVD, like "The Promised Land," She's the One," and the aforementioned "Dancin' In the Dark" and full-on-electric "U.S.A.," all of which are incredible! I can not say enough abouth this DVD!

I feel sorry for those who couldn't enjoy this because of their goofy hang-ups. Get your eyes and ears checked! Everyone else, get this DVD!

Hannibal - movie DVD cover picture
This movie was good

Ridley Scott's Hannibal in my opinion is just as good as the first one. Ridlet Scott blends hunting images with extremely graphic violence which in my opinion works very well together. I like how they show you the evil of Hannibal Lector. I think that was good the first one should you his good side this one shows his bad side. This film should have got the NC-17 rating for violence its one of the most violent films ever made. WARNING: This film contains Extremely Graphic Prolonged Groesome violence and Graphic Cannablism.
