I question the motives of the US government...

Hey, for all you skeptics, even if michael moore did manipulate some evidence, aren't the facts presented on this film and in other findings enough to raise a light bulb in your head, that hmmm... Maybe he did attack Iraq and killed over 100,000 of them, just for oil and corporate contracts, and hmm... Maybe he wants to attack Iran to do the same.. Don't be stupid Americans, not one terrorist on 9/11 was from Iraq, they were mostly saudis. DON'T BE STUPID!!

UPDATE: he pledge went up to 900 million now.

I question the motives of the US government when they pledge millions in "reconstruction" aid for the tsunami victims (gee, I wonder who's gonna profit from this? Well but of course! American corporations, they'll profit for years to come!), all the while doing a huge publicity stunt including 3 US presidents, encouraging Americans to give to the people's immediate needs. Convenient for the administration, we pay for their food and water while they (with our tax dollars) pay US corporations that send our jobs abroad. This is why their monetaty pledge went from 20 million, to approximately 400 million. Americans are a very generous people as is, but it looks like the US government is more generous to corporations than anyone.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy the US gave so generoulsy because the countries affected definitely need it, but like operation iraqi freedom I once again question their motives.
Does the administration really want to help the people or regulate all utilities in these countries? We'll find out in a few years.

The Best of The Pi-Mei The Priest Triology

This is the Best of the Three Pi-may the Priest Flims Meaning the White Hair monk (aka Lo Lieh ) Not enough has been said about Lo-Lieh contrary to popular opinion it is Lo-Lieh that all Kung fu Buffs should pay homage to because he brought the Ku-fu Movies to the world before Bruce Lee with 5 fingers of Death in 1971 and stars with his Main nemisis Gordon Lu the Great .....In this Flim the Second of the Three, the first one was a Classic Aka The Executioners of Death" The third one is a Slice of Death with David Chang " I would Reccomend getting all three of them for your ku fu movie libary....Now back to the Review....
The is all Shaw Brother flim Classic story Line that shows
Fu-ah-pow is relased from Jail and The White Lotus Group Must stop Him from rebuilding Shaolin Again Which Show you why when watching Ku-fu Meaning this type of Kung-fu compared to the Jet Le type that is protrayed today Shaw Brothers Kung Fu is way ahead of it's time.... Gordon Lu playsd the Guy who never says never in this epic ,although this one is more comedy than the others is shows The great Gordon Lu determenation to defeat The Lotus Chief aka Pi Mei the priest ,in this one the Priest use his Weightlessness as a weapon and his 100 step palm that can kill you as you walk away, the lingering effects of a butt whiping LOL, He learns to use the gracfull Embroidery techique after practicing on Mannaquins to prefection , however it took three tries to defeat Pi-Mei aka The Lotus chief ,, This a Must if your going to build up a ku Movie Libary because you have the very Best of Shaw Brothers Actors in Grodon Lu and Lo-Lieh these two actors have fought in dozens of flims including the other Epic The Master Killer... But this one flim of all else shows the True Skill of Grodon Lu .... Go Ahead...Go Shred!

I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it on cable back in the late 80s! I taped it, wore that one out, bought it again, watched it a few hundred more times and now, just purchased the DVD. In short IT ROCKS! Features include an alternate ending, a few deleted scenes and, my personal fav, interviews with the cast and crew. It's interesting seeing what they look like now (Chandler and Kiani look exactly the same) and how the movie changed the courses of some of the stars' lives.
If you love surfing or the ocean, GET THIS MOVIE! You won't regret it!

An Excellent Movie

I saw this movie when it was released in the theatres...and I must admit, the movie is excellent! The storytelling is truly well done, especially since this is the true story of a young man with Autism (Yes, Radio is autistic, not mentally disturbed or some-such). The showing of what folks with autism are like is a lot more realistic than in some of the latest movies like it. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

As sweat as chocolate

This film is just right, like the warm cup of tea on a cold night, or the first sunny day after weeks of rain. I own the DVD and have seen it several times, and each time it fills me with a kind of wonder. This is the kind of timeless and pure story that made Hollywood great, but that Hollywood doesn't make any more.
Aside from a handful of cynics, I can't imagine anyone who won't enjoy Amelie. But here's a test: if you, like the films main character, can take joy from life's simple pleasures (like the way your hand feels sinking into a sack of dried beans, the way street markets sound and smell, the absurdity of a horse running with the Tour de France), then this is a simple pleasure you don't want to miss.
As far as the quality and value of this film, I can't add much to the hundreds of reviews already posted here except to say "Yes! Yes! Me too!"
An interesting side note: the more I watch the film, the more little cultural references and word plays I catch. I'm sure the film is full of them, and it would take a native French speaker or long-time Paris resident to catch them all (understanding them is not necessary to enjoy the film; they're a bonus).
One I caught on the most recent viewing on TV (my French is sketchy, but seeing it with Italian subtitles rather than the English helped) is a play on words by Hippolito, the failed writer in the cafe, who comments that the cafe's regulars speak about the weather out of fear of the passing time. In French, "temps" means both "time" and "weather."
Similarly, the grocer Collignon tells Amelie to contact his mother to discover the name of her apartment's former tennent. He says, "Elle a une memoire d'elephant, un elephant de mer." That translates to "She has a memory like an elephant, a sea elephant" -- a reference to a manatee or an ocean seal. But the point is the way Collignon stresses "mer" (which means "ocean"), which sounds the same as "mere" (which means "mother").
I also noticed that the voice over used when Amelie imagines the television retrospective of her life is from the same person who does the television commentary for the funerals of France's rich, famous and powerful. I peaked at the credits and found that he is Frederic Mitterrand, the nephew of the late prime minister.
The last might be a stretch, but on my last trip to Paris I noticed a old-time chocolate brand called "Poulain", which is Amelie's family name. Maybe that's just a coincidence, but with a film as sweet as this one, assuming they come from the same source is an easy mistake to make.

The father starts to see these ghost and goes insane! He smash's the two-way radio and blames it on his son. His wife doesn't like the place, she thinks it's making her husband act strange but he denies it. And the son has something that only a few people have, it's called the shining. Bruce Lee can now comfortably rest in piece.

Jet Li has succeeded in picking up the legacy Bruce Lee left behind. WOW... I saw this movie, expecting another "Black Mask" type movie and was floored. The story, the music, the acting, most of all, the fight scenes...superb. Bruce Lee would be proud.
P.S. For those this may concern...I was intrigued by the slow, fluted music played throughout the movie and would love to know if it is obtainable. Please let me know.

King of the Hill - The Complete Third Season - movie DVD cover picture

ONE OF THE BEST SEASONS THIS IS. BUT NO EXTRAS. WHA. HOW. WHY. Well as lots of people know this season was supposed to come out early 2004. Well since it got pushed back to December 28th 2004 if they would have put extras on it would have come out till middle of 2005. Maybe it would have been worth the wait but I don't get this:

OVERALL this a great season of episodes and is really worth $30. It is really funny to watch over and over again and will be a good addition to your sets.
