If only all movies could be this good

UNBELIEVABLE! Anyone who doesnt like this movie is not quite right in the head and they must have ADD. It demonstrates how love can thrive despite social standing. Ewan surprised us all with his acting skills in Episode 1, but who the hell knew he could sing that extroardiny!? Nicole Kidman was another shocker. This movie was the rebirth of the musical. All I can say is, its a damn shame movies like this don't win best picture, best picture goes to demented things like Shakespear in Love or American Beauty. This had better win something.

A work of Art

This film is a work of art. It is incredibly touching and awe inspiring. I highly recommend it too anyone that appreciates the natural world, and fights against those that would destroy it.

Season 2 had the best acting/meta-plot around. Nothing can beat Sara and David's performance in the Becomming prt. 1-2!

Season 4 gets close. The metaplot isn't the best in this series, but the actual acting/character development is impressive. Just watch Hush or Restless. These episode hold there own as being some of the best Joss has ever shot!

Welcome the wide-screen version

The coming of Victor/Victoria to DVD is a major event. I have to echo all those reviewers who call it the "last great Hollywood musical". The production numbers cry out for the wide-screen treatment. I look forward to this one. The principals all do a marvelous job. But one thing that really sets this movie apart is its use of well-crafted (and often hysterical) minor characters and little "bits". The waiter who comments, "How lucky can you get? In one evening, I serve a Rockefeller, and a Groucho Marx." The poor hotel guest who keeps trying to put his shoes out in the hall to be shined, only to be intimidated by the antics going on out there. The Clousseau-type detective whose luck seems to run from bad to worse. The landscape is rich with such characters, and they add to the ambience to make this movie truly special.

WWE - The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection - movie DVD cover picture

This was a wonderful, wonderful DVD that captured why "Slick Ric" is the greatest wrestler today. Any true wrestling fan must have this DVD.
The matches with Steamboat, Rhodes, Funk and the history of The Four Horseman brought back ALOT of memories of wrestling in the '80's.
Because of Hogan and the WWF machine, Flair didn't get his proper due, this DVD should do just that.

Apocalypse, Eh?

Atmospheric, profoundly moving low-budget wonder that stands tall in the crowded "End Of The World" genre. Director/star Don McKellar takes his cue from the more intelligent, character-driven apocalyptic films like "Day The Earth Caught Fire", "Miracle Mile" and "Quiet Earth". The story intimately focuses on several Toronto residents and how they choose to spend (what they know to be) the final 6 hours of thier lives. Some viewers may recognize McKellar from his work with director Atom Egoyan. He must have have been taking notes, because as a director, McKellar has inherited Egoyan's quiet, deliberate way of drawing you straight into the emotional core of his characters. Fantastic ensemble work, featuring a couple of casting coups: the timelessly beautiful and classy Genevieve Bujold and a rare acting appearance by oddball Canadian splatter director David Cronenberg. Although generally somber in tone, the well-written script delivers many laugh-out-loud moments, funny in a very real,gallows-humor way. The powerful and unforgettable final scene packs an almost indescribably emotional wallop. By the way, you know you're watching a Canadian version of the Apocalypse when the #4 song on the "Top 500 Of All Time" is by... Burton Cummings!

A Modern Classic Comedy

On a recent shopping spend, I picked up this movie, having heard that the rated version was hilarious. Whoever thinks this movie is bad or isn't funny has gotten the life sucked out of them by their woman. In my mind, this movie became a modern classic. It will leave you laughing until the credits, and even then you may be giggling.

Antitrust and Open Source

Antitrust is one of my most favorite movies ever. I would recommend it to everyone, whether they're computer geeks or not. Before I saw this movie, I knew nothing about Open Source. It's actually really cool, and the Open Source Development Network is devoted to all that kind of stuff. With a great plot and great characters, I gave this movie 5 stars. I now own it on DVD, which doesn't have a lot of special features, but does have 6 or 7 deleted scenes, which I always like to watch. Buy this movie! I'm sure you'll love it!

Action, Comedy, Romance - All Around GREAT Movie

Sure this movie is a bit off the charts when it comes to reality but hey, not all movies can be dead accurate. This movie is fun-loving, action-packed, can make you laugh (that is, if you have a sense of humor), and has its share of romance. A Knight's Tale portrays such determination and energy in committing dreams. It's something that everybody should be feeling. William (Heath Ledger) had a dream to become a knight and he aims for it. Wanna know if he succeeds or not? Go buy the movie :)
