Strayed - movie DVD cover picture

I loved it...yes, it was a little hard to understand and follow only cuz it was in French and the first time i saw it was without subtitles, but I think it was pretty decent. The actors were really good for the most part...the kids were the best, the little girl and Greg, and Gaspard was just hot for his part, O LALA!!! Well anyways I definatly recommend this for other people that like romance or war movies...but mainly romance!!!

This movie is about a poor old guy. It is a simple, but good movie. In the final scene, I started to cry. I have not cried for over ten years.

need i say anything at all!

Need I say anything about akira kurosawa's or Toshiros Mifunes films their all classics each and every one, and this one was one of my favourites along the likes of the Classic Seven Samurai. Toshiro plays his usual ragged samurai with that bold powerful acting we've all to come to love. Am not going to bore you with telling you the story 'I don't want to spoil it to much' but the end sword fight deserves buying the dvd version alone''you can watch it in slow mo'' its that fast and fantastic. for fan of this mighty duo this is a must, I own the video versions as well, the translation to english is much better on the dvd with different text ect, the picture quality is also better than the video version.. in a word BUY IT YOU WANT BE SORRY.. Great and Inspiring

This movie is great! It is based on a true story! Before I went to see it I thought it was going to be boring. But right after I started watching it I loved it! I almost cried at the end!It is sad though. It is also very insperational on how this one woman taught these kids that live in Harlem how to play the violin! The song is also very inspiring! Just listen to the words and you can tell! I have already pre-ordered this movie and I would recommend it to anyone. I would also do the same with the album!

i like dookie!

i love this show so much. i can't wait until the third one comes out on october 12th. it will be so nice. but for right now i get to watch the first 4 dvds.

extras are very limited with only interviews with the strange strange creators of the series excluding jhonen vasquez. he is quite the elusive one isn't he? the 16 episodes are all great in their own little ways, but i would have to say my favorites are 'battle of the planets', were zim goes to mars and unintentionally turns the world into a giant space ship after analyzing the face and dib turns mercury into another space ship after analizing the butt on the dark side.and 'walk for your lives' where an explosion zim created is slowed down along with dib with a variable time status field. 'abducted' is also pretty good too where zim gets abducted by aliens who are so dumb they think he is human and they fuse creatures together using duct tape.

fans of zim know they want this product, they need it, invading their veins like radioactive rubber pants, obey the veins. i hope they come out with a video game to this show. it would be easy enough for them considering some of the episodes are video games.

Brilliant Next-to-Last Bunuel Film

Coming after THE DISCREET CHARM OF THE BOURGEOISIE and before THAT OBSCURE OBJECT OF DESIRE, Luis Bunuel's PHANTOM OF LIBERTY marks something of a return to his old Mexican aesthetic of unrelenting shock humour without sacrificing the class and panache of his heralded late French period. There is no plot, only a series of vignettes connected by the exit of one character and the entrance of the next. This gives Bunuel ample oppurtunity to send up the middle, low, and (especially) upper classes in a variety of ingenious ways. And of course, the Catholic church remains a favorite target. I won't reveal any of what happens, but there is at least one scene which you will NEVER FORGET (having to do with toilets). This is one of Bunuel's most aggressively surreal films, and it's a must for anyone interested in the works of this great filmmaker, in the history of foreign/art movies, or who feel that nothing interesting ever came out of European cinema. One of my personal favorites from Bunuel's "ouevre", and one which the director felt was among the closest to his heart. The cast, made up mostly of old Bunuel stalwarts, is great, as is the script, and the circular structure of the "narrative" predates many similarly arranged storylines. Gross-out humour meets surrealist satire. Before John Waters, before Pedro Almodovar, before David Lynch, there was Luis Bunuel.

Definitely a great 20th Century Fox film!

There's even a reference to Zanuck (Daryl not Richard obviously) by Merrill as the latter talks of going to Hollywood. Ultra-screenlegend Marilyn Monroe is in this film too of course and the film is prophetic by talking about how far her character will go in the biz! I was expecting some fighting (even a catfight) and none surprisingly ever shows. The film is not predictable at all. A winner!

One of the Greatest Movies Ever Made

Lord of the rings was a fantastic movie and I would recomend it to anyone. The story is about a hobbit named Frodo who inherits a dark and powerful ring from his uncle Bilbo Baggins. Acompined by the wizard Gandalf , the hobbits Sam, Merry, and Pippin, the ranger Aragorn, the elf Legolas (My favorite character), And the dwarve Gimli son of Gloin (One of the 13 dwarves accopining Bilbo in the Hobbit. The cast was great too. This is one you'll want to see over and over again.
