Heinskitz Velvet!I'am trainer of dolphin!!

This is a very funny movie. It has alot of memorable moments. The only thing that I hated about this movie was the fact that the band Cannibal Corpse made an appearance in the movie. They are probably the worst band on the planet. But besides that, this movie is really good.I reccomend this to anyone.
Peace Out.

A must have for any collection

Clearly one of the best music DVD's in my collection - sound quality is phenomenal. Performance is flawless...absolutely flawless. Every musician plays their heart out here...the on stage talent as good as it gets. You know, I'm not a huge fan of Roy, but this DVD is very, very special and Pretty Woman at the end is just so over the top - it will blow you away unlike anything you've ever heard and watched before!

Superb!

This film should be seen by every American old enough to handle realistic war scenes, especially our Representatives, Senators and everyone in the administration, including the President! I have watched this DVD twice, and I am going to watch it annually because I never want to forget the men & women who gave their lives for my freedom. The first half hour on Omaha Beach looked exactly like all the B&W still photos I've seen of that beach for the past 55 years. I promise you'll be on the edge of your chair for the entire story, and if you have surround sound, you will be flinching from the gunfire and feel as though you are on the beach. It's not for grade or middle schoolers!

"This GIft Set was appointed to you"

"If you cannot afford this gift set, no one can."
Ha Ha! Just being funny! The theatrical edition of FOTR is a powerful and thrilling epic masterpiece. It brought out a lot of the images of the books that I imagined while reading them and it was like they just reached into my mind and plopped them right on the big screen. It is amazing!
Frodo Baggins is living with his distant cousin Bilbo Baggins who he looks at as his uncle. Middle Earth is on the brink of destruction. The Dark Lord Sauron whose power is at Mordor, was defeated when a powerful Ring was severed off his arm causing him to implode into thin air more than 3000 years ago. His strength has returned over time as the Ring failed to be destroyed during the Last Alliance in Second Age 3441. The RIng passed out of all knowledge when a creature named Gollum found it on the bottom of the river and took it for himself and carried it and was corrupted by it for over 500 years until Bilbo found it and escaped with it.
Now, with vast armies of Sauron spreading, The Ring must be destroyed in order to save MIddle Earth from doom but the Ring cannot be destroyed except where it was made, in the fiery chasms of Mt. Doom where it was made. Only then can it be unmade. Frodo goes on the journey along with eight other companions to form the Fellowship of The Ring.
This movie is just awesome. I hate writing long reviews but this set however deserves one.
This extended edition of FOTR blows the theatrical edition right out of the water. There are over 30 minutes of extra footage not put on the theatrical edition and the result is an even greater and more powerful masterpiece!
The third and fourth discs are mind-blowing. I can never do justice with this review on all the treats that are on these two discs. I'm not going to spoil it wiht what's on them but with this review, I could never explain the treats on them. This Gift Set also comes with some really awesome miniature statues of the giant statues on the waterfalls stretching their hands into the distance.
I also love the packaging that the "GIft Set" comes in too. In fact, I love it so much that I would never throw it away and use it for many things.
The regular non-gift set "Extended Edition" is also great but doesn't include the statues nor the wonderful box set but even if you end up just getting that, you get plenty of good stuff not available on the regular DVD edition.
I urge you to go out and buy this "extended edition" pronto! It may cost more but the extras are worth more than the price charged for them!

kept me laughing and laughing!

I am purchasing this video because I enjoyed Mia Farrow in a different role, other than a Woody Allen movie. Natashia Richardson is really good too. This is a movie that you'll pick up by chance and it will entertain you. It reminded me of Waking Ned Devine. I recommend it to everyone.

Mulholland Drive - movie DVD cover picture
The most complex and intricate of Lynch's films...

...and the best. My favorite film. David Lynch's latest masterpiece, as well as my favorite film, is one that you definitely have to think about for a while to figure it out, if you figure it out at all.
Although it is confusing, I have managed to figure it out for the most part. Mulholland Drive is the story of Diane,a young woman who has just moved to Hollywood. Soon after moving, she meets Camilla, another young actress, and falls in love with her. Meanwhile a director making a movie is told he has to hire Camilla Rhodes or he will be fired. Diane, who has gone out for the same part, is overcome with rage and jealousy and murders Camilla. She is overcome with grief. This all happens before the movie has even started. The movie starts in Diane's dream. Her name is now Betty and she has just moved to Hollywood to become an actress. She moves into the apartment her aunt gives her. After waking the first morning, she finds a woman with amnesia, calling herself Rita, in her shower. She came in in the middle of the night after a car accident. Soon before drunken teenagers hit Rita's car with theirs, Rita is threatened by her driver, who dies when they are hit. This resembles the guilt/denial that Diane feels, since Rita survives. Diane creates Rita as an alter-ego of Camilla. They soon fall in love. While trying to find out what Rita's real name is, they find her apartment with a dead girl inside. This resembles the dead Camilla Rhodes. Rita has a blue key and thousands of dollars in cash in her pocketbook. The money could be either money she recieves for a movie or money for having her killed, it doesn't reall matter because part of Mulholland Drive is the examination of a dream, and dreams are vague..
Meanwhile, Betty is persuing an acting job. The director of the movie is told he must pick a specific girl by his boss and by a mysterious cowboy, who you see later, after Diane awakes, showing how random elements of real life often appear in dreams. Her name is Camilla Rhodes.
Rita uses this key she has found to open a mysterious blue box that randomly appears on the coffee table. That's where the dream ends. That's the seperation point. Now you are in the world of Diane. She is slowly delving further and further down a spiral of insanity. Then, she finally cracks. Then she gets shot. That's more or less where the movie ends.
This is an overall excellent film with outstanding directing, imagery, acting, and symbolism. The definitive thinking man's film.

Hypnotic

Surely one of the GREATEST directors of all time, this is his masterpiece. Armed with the most hypnotic narration I've ever heard & an extraordinarily abstract form, the story is constantly propelled forward by Max Von Sydow's unmistakable voice. Along with DANCER IN THE DARK, DOGVILLE & BREAKING THE WAVES, ZENTROPA is an unforgettable journey. Please plead with this film's distributor to give it the beautiful widescreen DVD release it deserves.....
