Had me laughing the whole way through

Its hard for me to believe that so many people here gave this movie bad reviews. I for one really enjoyed Meet the Fockers- maybe even more than I enjoyed Meet the Parents.

The Byrnes family is off to Florida to meet the Fockers, in their RV and grandson Little Jack in tow, as well as Mr. Jinx the cat, who by now has learned to flush the toilet, among his other accomplishments.

"One of your parents is a doctor, and the other is a lawyer," Jack Byrnes says to Greg Focker, "what could go wrong?" Well, a lot of things. The two families are polar opposites. We of course met Jack and Dina Byrnes in Meet the Parents, where Jack was (and still is) the no-nonsense ex-CIA agent. On the other hand, Bernie Focker (Dustin Hoffman) is a former peace protester and Roz Focker (Barbara Streisand) is a sex therapist for the elderly. What ensues is a comedy of how two families about to be joined by a marriage get along (or don't get along). In fact, some scenes in Meet the Fockers were so funny that I almost cramped up laughing.

This movie has tons of extras, though I recommend that you don't watch the movie with the deleted scenes added in (this is an option that you can choose on the menu)- it detracts from the movie as a whole. Otherwise, the bloopers and deleted scenes (which explain further what Bernie Focker does for a living and give the redneck cop more screen time) are hysterically funny.

It's Something or Wait aahhh it's nothing or Maybe it's both

it's good in The Royal Tenenbaums tradition, maybe not as good but maybe it's better for you. Watch it and think about it and think about it. While I was watching it I didn't know if I was going to like it because I didn't think it was deep enough. In the end it all came together into something I really enjoyed and thought had enough depth, and was funny enough, it's just presented in a not so deep way so all of the not so deep people can get to be deep people too. I'd almost want to describe it instead of as an existential comedy, as the director has, but as an american yin-yang comedy, perhaps both apply. At the end of the day it's recommended viewing along with such films as What the Bleep Do We Know, Maybe Logic, Mindwalk, and Woody Allen films.

**ALSO EVERYONE** I recommend checking out and listening to to stay informed about what's going on and have a few laughs also animated political cartoonist

Two great stories!

With this double tape set, viewers are treated to two stories with similar themes. Both are historical in context and both deal with monsters, of a sort. In The Visitation, the Doctor must stop the evil Terrileptals from overrunning a 17th century earth with a massive plague that would wipe out the entire population. In Black Orchid, we are treated to the first purely historical story since te days of Patrick Troughton's Doctor. Here, the Doctor discovers murder in the home of the Cranleighs. What dark secret is Lady Cranleigh trying to hide and how does it relate to Nyssa? Both stories are well paced, well acted stories, worthy of being included in anyone's video collection.

Loved It Alot!!!

I was lucky enough to see this movie the very first day it came out before lunch and I truly found it to be a rivetting experience. I am not old enough to remember any of these experiences and have only been able to understand them through dry documentaries on the history channel or through older family member's personal experiences. The older family members made a point of sticking with the light stories and refraining from reliving the heavier elements of life at Pearl Harbor. I really liked the plot, the acting, and the way the storylines made "real" people out of the statistical analysis of history. Even though I unfortunately heard a mixed bag of reviews before going to see the flick, I personally would not be surprised if this one becomes another "Titanic" movie. The time period hits a real cord with all of us and I think the movie hits that cord paricularly well!

Impressive movie, intriguing, fabulous production

I should add excellent acting, a great script and a beautiful Keira Knightley as Guinivere. Magnificent sets, beatiful cinematography, ferocious confontations.

I will buy this version because I was not happy with the idiotic PG-13 rating. I sensed that the original was R rated and should have been because of the battle scenes filmed in graphic detail.

It is a sad time when a director of the stature of Antoine Fuqua has to slash his movie to downgrade it from R to PG. Fortunatelly we have the director's cut version and that is fair to the fans. Thank you.

I thought this movie was made for me

This movie is surely one of the best , if not the best interpretation I saw Johnny Deep perform. His talent was so well used by Polanski to make his character a dark minded , no-conscience-at-all,mercenary kind of book detective with a dark aura around him.The actors were very well chosen ,B?art fantastic as a dark angel ,etc. Had to see it twice in 24 hours.

what an excellent idea

Alias is a great TV show which keeps me and my parents on the edge of our seats throughout the entire show. Starring Jennifer Garner et al., this is one of the best shows on the air (according to myself). Garner is smart and can kick any person she knows into next week. If your like action films, you'll definately like this DVD. I loved it and so did all my friends. We started an Alias fan club!

Never heard of it either? Its GREAT

Kevin Smith has made some of the funniest movies out there. The best part (with the exception of Randell from Clerks) has always been Jay and Silent Bob. These two are worth watching in almost anything. If you have not seen Dogma, check it out. If you have not seen Clerks, order it now. There is no point in renting it, you will want to own it! Kevin Smith is one of the best talents working in film today.
