Good Laugh

This movie is probably the funniest movies I have seen in a while, along with Team America. Who cares about the rating? This movie is good for under the age of 17 also. I just seen it yesterday and I'm 13.

This movie has been a part of our Christmas celebrations since it was first on television. Now our children especially enjoy it, even though they are little. We highly recommend it--worth every penny. You will watch it again and again.

That's comedy!

Funnier and smarter than any American 'comedy' produced in years. The cast is magnificent. You will be sorry when it ends; you will watch it again. It is also the perfect date movie (if you actually plan to watch the movie during the date).

Funniest of all time!!!

When this film hit the theaters, a lot of people I know made it out to be the funniest thing in a long time. So after renting the film I'm sorry to say that I just don't see it. It had it's funny moments, but it seemed to get more boring as it went along. Some of the jokes were really funny, but others were just lame.I mean most of us have been in Stiller's shoes at one time or another. And I have to say that not even the biggest loser wimp that I know would have put up with some of that treatment. Sometimes I just didn't find the abuse he took was funny. ...

Good movie to watch late at night

"Blame It On Rio" is one of my favorite films. The great scenery of Rio De Janeiro is one of the perks of watching this. It's kinda like watching a travelogue of the city that's a 24-hour carnival. The film is packed with memorable lines as well ("They looked at us, let's go talk to them,"says Victor. "They're practically nude," Matthew states. Victor's response? "Try to picture them with clothes on"). Michelle Johnson won a Razzie for her performance as Jennifer, which I didn't think was that bad. Demi Moore's performance, on the other hand, takes some getting used to. Michael Caine, always the top-rate performer, doesn't disappoint in this one. His performance is honest and well-meaning. There are one small fault in the film though: the soundtrack. I'm not talking about the bossa-nova or nightclub music, but the outdated 80s music. There is one song in the film that gets played over and over again. By the end of the film, the song will not leave your head LOL. That doesn't matter though. It doesn't take away the film's entertainment value. It is still a fun film to watch and make you laugh.

A DVD Set put together just right!

Now this is the DVD set I have been waiting YEARS for! I remember in grade school watching Knight Rider, and wanting to grow up and be Micheal Knight -- I wanted KITT for my own car when I was able to drive.

I am glad they finally released this, since the Sci-Fi channel kept on bringing the show on and off at a whim, which really irritated me. Now I can watch it whenever on DVD.

They have obviously remastered the video, without sacrificing anything -- the picture and sound quality puts the show right up there with today's standards, yet it keeps its classic 80's charm.

I am definately looking forward to Seasons 2-4 when they come out -- there have been some episodes I would love to see again.

Jerry Lewis in Top Form

This is probably the best of the Jerry Lewis films. Many genuinely funny moments capture Lewis' unique brand of physical comedy as well as his underrated natural dramatic abilities. Highly Recommended!

Don't miss this film!

I am a Korean and watched 'Joint Security Area' when in freshman year of university. I spent my childhood under anti-communism(exactly saying, Anti-North Korea) education and believed that North Koreans have devil??s horns and tails. Now, I??m grown up enough to realize the fear was just crammed by the policy which wanted children to have the blind hatred for North Korea. However, after the removing the fear, because the fear was the only feeling for North Koreans that I had, the image of them had been left obscure in my mind for a long time. However this film gave me the chance to think about sincerely what meaning North Korea has for me. Though I do not still have the clear viewpoint of North Korea, at least the start is significant. This film keenly describes the dilemma that both North and South Koreans have at the base of hearts. The dilemma-whenever they see each other, they cannot but find ??brothers?? in ??the group of hostile ideology??. Especially the scene of the farewell party in the film implies that the dilemmatic emotion is another link between North and South Koreans share. (Kim Kwang-suk, whom O Kyung-pil(acted by Song Gang-ho) toasted, is the singer of the background music, ?????'?? ?? A Private??s Letter?? at the scene. I don??t know even the lyric is translated in the DVD version, yet,) The song??s lyric is that a young man, who, in the compulsory military service, has to level a gun at the ??foe?? against his will, farewells to his irrevocable youthful days. The reason that the song was the favorite of both O Kyung-pil and Lee Su-heok(acted by Lee Beong-heon) is because the young man in the lyric is their own portraits. It is true that North Korea has threatened the world peace. Nevertheless, in the shell of ??Rougue State??, ??the Axis of Evil??, or whatever, South Korean cannot but find their Lost Brother.'Joint Security Area' delivers the dilemmatic sentiment, and it shows that this film is not just for amusement.
