Fury

Absoloutly must see. Arguably this is one of the most powerful pieces of cinema ever created. I would recomend this film to people of all ages. I know many people would say that is irresponible but hey this movie is about the truth behind not just drug addiction but about addiction in general. What make this movie so powerful is the amazing performance of Ellen Burstyn. Had she been omitted the story would of taken on a fantastical element, similar to Trainspotting. Jared Leto gives and amazing performance as does Jennifer Connely and Marlon Wayons. It is inspiring to see such a young director take on such an ambitious project and then succed in handling it brilliantly. I was not at all surprised to find out that Hollywood wanted no part of this film. Everything from the cinematogrpahy to the original score is an inspired work of art. And ofcourse hats of to the brilliant James Chindlund.

Review on Leap Frog Talking Words Factory

This DVD is great for helping children learn the sounds that letters make. It is amusing and entertaining how they teach the sounds of each letter. Both my boys love it (ages 20 months and 4 years) and the older boy is already telling me the sounds of different letters after watching it no more than 5 times :)

Black Soil Beyond Forever \m/

This is the probably the greatest line up of Ozzy of all time. Ozzy, Zakk, Robert, Mike Bordin, all the best musicians in the world at this time. THis line up makes the versions of ozzy songs sound 10 times heavier. Like the other reviews said, the set list wasn't chosen very good, they should have included another black sabbath cover, miracle man and goodbye to romance. I don't really mind the spitting of zakk. Great improvising on all the songs and solos by zakk. Blazing with Pinch Harmonics. Great guitar solo, it is different from other guitar solos other ppl do, it has meaning> Overall, this is the most kick ass dvd ever. I would reccomend it to any one who has a passion for guitar, not just ozzy and zakk fans.

Great entertainment experience

What I liked most about Boogeymen is that it's almost like a game, movie, and book rolled into one. Consumers will be surprised at all the great features within the DVD. For anyone who is somewhat interested in the horror movie world, these bonus features really make Boogeymen a compelling entertainment experience . Beyond just the scenes (which are freaky and fabulous), there is all this great trivia, filming notes, an addiciting game called 'name that frame' which is much harder than it seems (even for hard-core horror fans. I dare anyone to try and get 5 frames in a row correct) and a very difficult trivia game on DVD-ROM. And having all the original theatrical trailers for these horror films is a movie collector's dream. The scenes are great, don't get me wrong. But as a DVD fan, I bought and liked Boogeymen almost more for its interesting and unusual features.

A Classic

I can't decide if this is more of a rip-off of SPARTACUS or BRAVEHEART.
With all the hoopla made over this film I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. The acting is one dimensional, the story is not original (but drawn out and plain boring) and when you watch this film see if you really care about Crowes character. The answer will be NO.
I gave it 2 stars because it was mildly entertaining. However NOT oscarworthy!!!
Do yourself a favor. For the real story see SPARTACUS instead. Or if you want some real acting look for Paul Newman.

The Best Film Ever Made

If you only watch one Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers musical this should be the one. There has long been a debate over which film is their best: Swing Time or Top Hat. In my opinion, Swing Time definitely takes this honor, number two being Top Hat, followed by The Gay Divorcee. All of their films together are excellent, but Swing Time is set apart because it takes a much more realistic look at love and life. This film handles the love affair between Astaire and Rogers' characters in a way that none of the other films did. The romance is touching, sweet, charming - and believable!

The songs are amazing, including "Pick Yourself Up", "The Waltz In Swing Time", "A Fine Romance", "Never Gonna Dance", and "The Way You Look Tonight", which is the greatest love song ever written. The scene where Astaire sings this to Rogers is not to be missed. His reaction to her touch - in this scene, as well as in the "Fine Romance" scene - is priceless. Watch for another not-to-be-missed moment, also in the "Fine Romance" scene, as Rogers uses every feminine trick in the book to try to get Astaire to respond.

Although this goes without saying, the dancing in "Swing Time" is superb. I hardly know words that are sufficient to describe the beauty that is the bittersweet dance number "Never Gonna Dance". The emotion in this scene is phenomenal. It is absolutely exquisite. If Fred & Ginger had, indeed, never danced - before or after - to any other number, this alone would have made them famous. It is the most beautiful dance ever recorded in motion picture history. Every time I re-watch this film, I'm always caught off guard by the sheer beauty of this one scene. For this reason alone, "Swing Time" is definitely a "must see" film.

This is indeed the "best of the best" !

I'm really, really glad they're finally coming out with this on DVD!
BOTB1 is unique, or at the very least very, very rare, in that it's a martial arts film with a story-oriented script. The story revolves around the U.S. karate (taekwondo actually) team training for a fight with the heavily-favored Korean national team. The characters are both very believable and complex, particularly Tommy Lee (Phillip Rhee) and Alex Grady (Roberts). Good pacing coupled with spectacularly-choreographed fight scenes (Roberts' skills at times even appears passable, while both Rhee's talents are simply amazing!). A great and surprising ending caps this film off perfectly.
Good move by making it a double feature, because I don't think BOTB 2 could've sold itself, being somewhat inferior to the first installment of the series. The sequel is only loosely based on BOTB1, and the plot sort of stretches it a bit. This film is saved only by the acting talents of the main cast and notably that of Sonny Landham.
Martial artists (even non-taekwondo enthusiasts) will surely love this film, as well as those interested in action movies with a dramatic twist.
