Faaabulous! A Must Own!

Fast paced, frenetic, I haven't enjoyed a tv show like this since the first Tales of the City aired back in the mid 90's. Metrosexuality plunges you into the lives of the characters so quickly, that it'll take you a while to figue out who's who, but once you do --watch out--you'll be hooked. Also one more warning : this has some of the most fast paced dialogue readings I've heard since "Bringing Up Baby"--so pay attention, you won't want to miss a gem

The Best Movie I Have Ever Seen Mate!

POTC is definatly the best movie I have ever seen with stunning preformances by Johnny Depp (Capn' Jack Sparrow), Orlando Bloom (Will Turner) Geoffry Rush (Capn' Barbossa)and Kiera Knightly (Elizabeth Swann) along with some amazing special effects. I was amazed at how Gore Verbinski turned one of my all time favorite Disney rides into a major hit. I have already seen this movie twice and am planning on seeing it many more times in the future. Despite the classical portrayal of pirates in the film, the one thing that made the whole film worthwhile were the actors.
Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) was turned into the witty, rum loving pirate you can't help but love. His hillarious enter to the movie was the perfect starter for Jack, a pirate who ten years ago was left to die on a "...God forsaken peice of land..." is thrown into the gallows by Norrington (the rides portrayal of the pirates in the gallows tempting the dog with the keys in it's mouth is incorporated here)and later sprung out by blacksmith Will Turner after promising "...on the pain of death..." that he would take Will to the Black Pearl and his Bonnie Lass.
Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) is the more serious blacksmith who when finding that Elizabeth Swann, his crush, has been kidnapped he enlists Jack's help to track down the black pearl, only to find out something about himself along the way.
Elizabeth Swann (Kiera Knightly)is the beautiful governors daughter who is kidnapped by the dreaded Capn' Barbossa. Once on the Black Pearl she finds out that the crew is cursed by Aztec medallions causing them to be the living dead in a manner of speaking, the moonlight shows them for what they really are, living skeletons.
Capn' Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) portrays the "captain so evil that hell itself spat 'im back out" who was formerly the first mate of Jack. Capn' Barbossa led the mutiny of Jack, was promoted to captain and led the crew on to the cursed treasure of Cortez.
You must see this movie, it deserves no less then four stars and will have you going back to see it again and again. If you're going to see one movie this summer, this should be it! It will have the world forever singing "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirates Life For Me!"

Human Stories

I was so looking fordward to watch this movie. It never came out in Spain, so when I was in The US, i rented it (cause it wasn't on sale yet), and it fullfilled my great expecations about it. I am a big fan of Calista Flockhart, and her work in this movie is amazing. Cameron Diaz plays a blind woman and her acting skills are wonderful. Glen Close, Holly Hunter and Valeria Golino are doing a great job aswell. So I don't understand why this movie wasn't a success. It's a combination of excellent & talented actresses developing human & touching women stories. I recommend you to watch it. It's excelent.

Wonderful heartwarming movie

Loved this movie! Seeing the previous two videos of this series is not necessary - I hadn't. However, I bet you'll find yourself looking for (or buying)the first two videos after you view this one! I was initially drawn to this video because of the Christopher Walken-Glenn Close pairing. The charactors Walken and Close play are very good and the two actors work well together. Glen Close, as usual, is great! And Walken, to my surprise, is totally likeable and loveable(vs the "scarry" actor I've come to know in so many of his movies!). The charactor development, as well as the wonderful acting, made this a movie that I found myself genuinly caring about the charactors. It certainly kept my interest. It's a great "feel-good, cozy" movie. It certainly took me away into a fantasyland to the early 1900's in the midwest. As soon as I returned this video to the video store, I immediately rented the two previous movies (and am now buying all 3). It is a wonderful series which I am sad to see end. I highly recommend this as a warm, enjoyable movie that families would love; as well as those who simply enjoy sitting by the fire, wrapped up in a blanket for the evening to watch a good movie!

This put the 'Family' in 'Entertainment'

Spike Milligan playing of all things the cuckold husband of Raquel Welch (as if) is what makes this film for me. He is gut-crunch funny. As if he wasn't enough of a laugh's Roy Kinnear...the man who makes laziness look like the hardest job in the world. Oliver Reed is audible (for once), Raquel gorgeous, as too is the villainous Milady De Winter (Faye Dunaway). But wait there's more...the eternal youth Michael York, a foppish Frank Finlay, a debonair Richard Chamberlain, a hapless Rochefort is Chistopher Lee and for heavens sake...the scheming Cardinal Richelieu is only Charlton Heston. Plus it's so funny. Plus there are international conspiracies afoot and deeds to be done with daring-do and hullaballoo. Plus it's all so suspenseful. Plus they sell it with 'The Four Musketeers'.!

Don Reubio approves!

Notwithstanding the fact that I couldn't understand half of the dialogue because of the nearly-incomprehensible English accents (and what I wholly understood was the cursing) this is a funny, smart, action-packed horror flick about a bunch of soldiers who hole up in a farmhouse, trying to save their lives from a family of werewolves. There were scenes which were actually disgusting, but I couldn't help but laugh, as when a dog has gotten ahold of a wounded soldier's innards and is tugging on them. "Piss off," he yells, "let go!" Or when another soldier brawls with a werewolf and knocks one of his teeth out, which flies across the room and sticks in a wall like a knife. Somewhat gory, obviously, but if you can get past that you are in for a minor treat.

great movie

This movie was a very good movie. It tells about the true life of lane form the day he was born till the day he died. I would really like to encourage all cowboys and cowgirls to see this movie if they haven't seen it. i really loved it, if you don't like watching bull riding then you shouldn't watch it but if you like bull riding then i would really sugest that you see it if you haven't all ready.

Its the Boogeyman ya'll!

Holy crap, I can't believe the number of people bashing this movie. Not just that, also bashing the Grudge which IMO was 100 times better than its comepetition Saw. People talked about how scary that movie was, and I just don't get it. I saw both movies and the Grudge was alot more interesting than Saw. Hell, if you ask me, Saw should have been made 10 years ago, because it has nothing going for it in the 21st century. Anyways, Boogeyman wasn't just a subpar movie. It's actually one of the better scary movies so far this year, alot better than White Noise, and about even with Hide and Seek. Some parts made me jump unexpectedly, and thats what I liked about it. Finally a movie that can get you involved with it and sometimes make your heart race. The beginning was awesome, I'm not goinna spoil it, but it immediately got my attention. Lets just say, not too long after the opening credits start, we get a little taste of the title character(you guessed it, the Boogeyman), and its not a pretty sight. Barry Watson is a great actor and a big up and comer. The only part I didn't like about this movie was the ending or how most people would complain, how the Boogeyman is defeated. Ah well, not all movies have perfect endings, but it wasn't enough to ruin the movie if you ask me. Anyways, I recommend this movie to everyone, and hopefully you all will get as much enjoyment out of it as I did.

what remains to do? Have pity and help.

I'll never find necessary courage needed to solve a matter of this kind. Sure protagonists act at his best, instead of circumtamced words with less than zero values. an hero of our times.
