Exceptional HK gangster film

This was by far the best film of the series and Anita Mui has never been better. Let's face it folks, we don't buy these films because of the story, the great philosophical message it conveys, or the Oscar worthy performances. Get over it guys....this was a great action flick that should please Anita Mui fans. It's one of the few roles she's had that lets her strut her stuff and she dominates the film.

Best workout I own

I own a lot of workout videos and this is by far the best. The workout is tough mainly because you have to use so many different muscles to do the exercises correctly. You burn fat, not by running around in circles but by learning to control your body. It helps your posture and overall balance. An additional feature I like is that you can turn off the voice-overs after you learn the routine.

BEST LINKIN PARK DVD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This dvd includes six music videos, a lot of interviews, and shows the true personality of linkin park. It kept me laughing for a long long long long long time. It has the songs My December and High Voltage on it. YOU get a lot of extras like a documentary on chesters tatoos and mike and joes art. This is the best in the west!!! Buy it or you will regret it. I recommend this to all linkin park fans, if you aren't a linkin park fan, go away.

I really like this version

Unlike the critics and the customer comments i find this musical version WONDERFUL! What puzzles me is why do people compare this title to "The Kennedys." If anything that is an insult to a great motion picture. But i digress.....I find the musical numbers most fitting to the scenes that are going on with the story. My favorite is "Lusty Month of May" and if you have a 5.1 Stereo System this number surrounds you with beautiful music and so with "If Ever i Could Leave You." My eyes tear-up terribly during that number. I don't know how anyone couldn't fall in love with this movie. Also this movie is in it's original Roadshow Format with it's arousing Round Table speech from Richard Harris as the music builds just before "Intermission." It gives me chills just writing about it.Dispite the other reviews, see for yourself if this 60's musical will touch a cord with you and i don't care what people think of Vanessa Redgrave, this movie was made for her. She's brilliant!

Great Movie and Great DVD

If I were a voting member of the academy Gladiator would get my best picture Oscar and Russell Crowe would also win for best actor. This film is compelling and well acted and it has enough violence to keep you interested if you are not into great performance and writing. This is a great film.
The DVD collection too is awesome. There is a great deal of extra material and it even comes with a second disc to hold some of it. If you like the art of filmmaking then you should get this DVD set to learn about the making of such an epic film. All in all the quality of the film and DVD materials make this DVD a bargain at any price.

T. Rex: Born To Boogie - movie DVD cover picture
OK Jack White-now they will all see whose act you've stolen!

This superb 2-disc release joins a short list of music DVD's (2003's exhaustive, Jimmy Page-helmed "Led Zeppelin" concert anthology and the beautifully restored "The Kids Are Alright" deluxe edition) that truly demonstrate the full potential of digital audio/video technology, with respectful consideration of both the artists and thier fans. One of the legendary "lost" rock 'n' roll films of the 70's, the Ringo Starr produced "Born To Boogie" was long assumed to have been a lost cause for any kind of revival. This crystalline audio/visual peek at a unique period of Rock history is akin to capturing lightning in a bottle; because the "Age Of Bolan" only lasted for about 12 months in reality, from the release of the seminal glam rock classic "Electric Warrior" to the recording of its followup "The Slider". Indeed, Marc Bolan is at his absolute peak in this footage-a strutting, charismatic, physically beautiful androgynous Rock God in every sense of the word. The original film itself only runs 65 minutes, basically a concert movie with studio footage and a couple tongue-in-cheek vignettes tossed in. A definite highlight is the studio session footage featuring Elton John on piano and Ringo Starr on drums (!). Think about that for a second-Elton John and an ex-Beatle as your BACKUP band-that should put any doubts to rest that Marc Bolan was just a pretty face-he obviously commanded (much-deserved) respect as a musician. One caveat-the running time of the set totals about 5 1/2 hours, but you do get quite a bit of redundancy on the concert footage. The 2 one-hour sets that the original film was culled from are offered each in thier entirety, so you will notice the same 20 or so performances repeated throughout. But that is a minor quibble, as this footage does represent the only existing, intact documentation of an entire T. Rex concert (allegedly). A must-have!

Incredible Audio/Video Experience!

This is one of the most incredible audio/video dvds out there. Completely unique. Incredible racing footage shot in a completely fresh new way. The music is equally great. It keeps up the pace and more. The quality is superb as well. A great demo disc to show off your system. It is amazing what a good job both the film and music editors did with this disc. Truly unbelievable and incredible. Bottom Line: This is a must own dvd! The best dvd I have purchased in the past two years. Nothing compares.

Ray shines like only Ray Charles could

what can you say about this movie except wow. Jamie Foxx deserves the Oscar, and the movie proves there will never be another Ray Charles. The movie is a no holds barred look at his life with the good and the bad. Even if you are not a fan of Ray Charles' music, and I don't know how you couldn't be, the movie will make you a fan. It is long and slow at times, but the music picks it right back up whenever it feels to drag. It does a great job showing how there were no limits on Ray Charles talent, and the things that kept his music and his life going. I highly recommend this movie whether you are a Charles fan or not.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine - The Complete Second Season - movie DVD cover picture
Deep Space Goodness!!!

In the second season of DS9, we see the continuing development of a superior science-fiction series, based on excellent story-writing and character development.
The 3-part season-opening story arc (The Homecoming, The Circle, and The Siege) shows us the darker side of Bajoran politics.
Invasive Procedures gives us a deeper glimpse into Jadzia Dax.
Shadowplay teaches us about loss and the lengths someone will go to keep memory of loved ones intact, while at the same time giving us a cryptic preview of the Dominion.
Blood Oath gives us a glimpse of the past with Klingons being portrayed by legendary original Trek actors, such as Michael Ansara.
The Maquis two-parter kicks off the storyline regarding ex-Federation members having to go it alone against the Cardassians in the De-Militarized Zone.
Crossover shows us the consequences of James T. Kirk's actions from the original Trek episode "Mirror, Mirror."
The Jem'Hadar finally introduces us to the sinister Dominion, in what will turn out to be the dominating storyline for the rest of the series.
There is much more that can be said about this wonderful season but there is not enough time and space.
The best that can be done now is to purchase this season (and all the others) on DVD and see for yourself.
