Excellent fencing and romance.

In the grand tradition of "The Adventures of Robin Hood", "The Sea Hawk", "The Flame and the Arrow" and, of course, "The Mark of Zorro", "The MASK of Zorro" is pure escapist swashbucking fun. All the ingredients that made action films of the past so enjoyable are all here- likeable characters, swift (and well choreographed) action, stirring music and wonderful performances. Errol Flynn, Douglas Fairbanks, and Burt Lancaster all tip their swords to Antonio and Anthony.

At Long Last

Moonlighting was one of the most clever and stylish shows on television. I am so thrilled that it is finally available on DVD. The chemistry between Cybill Shephard and Bruce Willis is unmatched, which is odd considering the rumors that befell them regarding their apparent strife behind the scenes. This discord is not apparent watching the episodes, in which their chemistry is phenomenol.

The physical comedy in Moonlighting simply doesn't exisit in today's television programs. The writing is quite humorous and the supporting cast is genuinely talented. Even the storylines surrounding the supporting cast members are enjoyable.

All in all, a fantastic show and a welcome addition to my DVD collection.

A comedy that's inspiring?

How many sit-coms have the following?
- Witty, fast-paced dialogue- Characters who actually care about being moral (!)- Interesting and surprising plot lines- Good acting by everyone in the cast- Stories that inspire you at times and make you tear up at others
I agree with the other reviewer who said the ABC exec who cancelled this show should be shot. If the networks realized that *long-term* financial gain is actually a good thing, and often can only come via word of mouth promotion, they might actually give a show like this a chance.
The reason I never watched it myself when it was on the air, was that I thought it was "a show about sports". (I'm a sports fan, by the way, just not a fan of dopey sit-coms.) I clearly remember some ads in the NYC subway which conveyed to me: "Another stupid TV comedy, but this one's about sports." I put a lot of blame on ABC's marketing department for the show's cancellation.
Reminds me of the movie "The Shawshank Redemption". It was hurried off the screens, then the following year became the most rented video of the year. I'm 100% capitalist, but businessmen sure seem to know how to mess up a good movie or TV show.

I haven't seen it yet, since it hasn't been released. Nevertheless, I've already seen some episodes of season 3 on TV and it is hilarious, like the other seasons! A great timeless show, for which you keep laughing no matter how often you've seen it.Finally, they brought another season on DVD, and I hope they will continu the series on dvd! I also hope they will release the other seasons in a faster rate. This is ridiculous, more than a year between the release of seasons!Come on, columbia, let's get this release of the show in the second gear, and bring out the other seasons asap!

An Above Average Teen Slasher Flick

This movie isnt by any stretch the best horror movie ever made, but it isnt nessecarily the WORST either. There were some good thrills, and the gore was average. All the actors delievered a fairly good and somewhat believable preformance, yes, even PARIS HILTON.

The ending was what really made this a B+ horror movie, the last 5 or so minutes, if that wasnt the case, than it would probably be down instantly to a C horror movie, and wouldn't be so controverisal "should i see it? should i forget it?" - there have been an equal amount of good, and yet bad reviews on the movie, this movie is okay to sit through once or twice, but definatly not a movie worth 20 dollars. If you want to buy this because your like me, and you could buy the movie with the late fee money, wait for a month until the price dies down.

Rated R for horror violence, some sexual content and language.

Horror Violence: Most of the Violence is VERY GRAPHIC - and its not only "horror violence" - its gore. So it should have said "strong graphic horror violence and gore". *SPOILERS* - There is a cut off head, an impaling, a stabing, a knife in the throat, a cut off finger, melting wax, a ripped off face, a cut achilles tendon - and more. ALl of which is shown on screen with lots of blood.

And Language: There arent that many F words, maybe a dozen or so - other than that the language could classified as PG-13.

Overall this stays within the bounderies of a B horror movie but the ending gives it a B+ movie - so watch it once and give it a chance. You might be surprised at how different this movie is from all the other Paris Hilton things, and you might actually find that you like it!

Stop Hatin', Walker's work is pure innovation!

Charles Solomon's editorial criticism is more misleading than his recommendations. I bought Concept to Reality, in addition to those suggested by Solomon, to ensure that if Walker had been lax in his explanations I'd have other pieces of "Edu-tainment" to keep me satisfied. However, now I know it was unnecessary to buy the other pieces that do nothing more than detract from the central issues of learning digital manga techniques. Walker's DVD goes into more depth on the use of Lightwave and Aura software to achieve a 2D art look with 3D objects than any other DVD I've seen.
Walker also appears to be the only english speaking artist, since the others use subtitles, and delayed voice overs. But, in sum, Terrence Walker should be given more credit for having built an independent film catalogue without all the resources that abound for artists, only in Japan.
So, if you're new to the processes of digital manga, and living in the U.S. I would strongly recommend that you take a look at Walker's techniques, they're the most practical.

This is actually really GOOD!

Anyone who has read my reviews knows I don't pander to crap.
A typical `bad'-good-guy-trying-to-clear-his-lfe flick, this film really is a fun movie to watch.First off, after The Scorpion King, I was sure The Rock's celebrity was destined to be one-dimensional. After this film, I have to admit I was wrong. He can act, he can do the tough scenes, and he can actually be funny in a long cut rather than short one-liners.
From Christopher Walken cast as a Jungle Gold Slaver, to Deklan, the moronic Scottish bush pilot no one can understand, this film is filled with a deluge of characters.
Sean Scott is the son of a gangster, and is living in the jungles trying to find `El Gato de Diablo' a gold artifact. The Rock is a truly honest strong-arm who hates guns ("Nasty things happen when I am involved with guns..."), and is hired to bring him home. Seems like a typical formula film. But every character, including the jujitzu forest rebels ("they are very short...") is bizarre in their own right. And there is a slew of humor in this film (my favorite is The Rock getting face-humped by a Rhesis Monkey while he's hung up in a pig-snare, and Scott is yelling at him to be dominant...hilarious!).
Walken is...well...Walken, and a perfect choice in his role. He says every line in the Walkenesque prose we have learned to love.
Scott shows he can play the rough adventure hero. He gets his ASS kicked over and over. This kid has such a future...
The soundtrack accentuates, rather than creates, the scene and tempo. The action sequences are a la Brian De Palma (quick clips, snap close-ups) and there's a bit of the Matrix thrown in. The whip-fight scene near the end is phenomenal!
This flick was FUN. A great mix of humor and adventure. And I can see a sequel with Scott and the Rock coming.
I can't recommend this as a rental. I have to recommend it as an own-it. I have watched mine 3 times already.

great after a long day

I enjoyed this video. Very relaxing. I use fat burning yoga by Sara Ivanhoe when I want some power yoga but this really helps me to calm down and feel centered. The music is great!! I purchased the DVD which is 60 minutes and has a bonus yoga energizer workout. You can also choose your own music to play while listening to the instuctor. I highly recommend it for a relaxing not vigourous workout.

A Nasty Little Gem

It's about four Londoners (the men are homegrown; the women transplants from the States) who, over the course of four years, fall in and out of love with one another, in remarkably quick and often devastating fashion. If this sounds a tad shallow, it should be. Mike Nicholas's lucid adaptation of Patrick Marber's acclaimed play (Marber also wrote the lacerating script) doesn't pretend its selfish, chilly, deluded characters are doing anything more than feigning the moves of true love on their quest for narcissistic gratification. The film is composed of the beginnings (all coy words and sweet nothings) and the ends (where wit is filed into verbal darts to be hurled at the most vulnerable moments) of their relationships, love winnowed to a nub for a speed-dating world. Julia Roberts, Jude Law, Natalie Portman, and particularly Clive Owen check sentiment at the door and deliver diamond-sharp studies in ennui, rage, arrogance, and emptiness. I'm not spoiling anything when I say that none of the four achieve the intimacy of the title, but it's nasty, wounding fun watching them sabotage one another (and ultimately themselves) along the way.
