Excellent Para-Historic film

Although with short drama, very close to real facts, based on historic and full of realistic details, more suitable for latinamerican than european and northamerican people. I would rate this film 8-stars. A must for those who really want a serious analysis of why latinamerican people stays in the ir current status.

I'll leave the critique of this movie to others. They all say basically the same thing anyhow, "This is a fun movie. Hayley Mills is a doll..."
What makes this DVD edition stand out is that it has an entire second disk of extras! As a person who is interested in documentaries and old film reels I was amazed how Disney made a superb disk of extras.
If you are thinking of upgrading your VHS copy to DVD, this is the time to do it. Disney has made a DVD edition that others should be measured by.
It has commentary by the director, Hayley Milles, the making of the movie and profiles the "hidden" twin for Hayley's from behind shots. If you look at the movie closely, there are a few shots where you can see the the actress full face on. This alone justified the DVD purchase for me.
A fun movie with many fun extras.

For anyone who is not afraid of looking sex right in the face, this comedy is roll-around-on-the-floor, 'I hope I don't pee my pants,' hilarious. It puts comedy into utterly embarrassing & inconvenient moments of life & dating...and does a great job. This is definetely a good movie for girl's night in...just be careful not to chock on the popcorn while laughing!

Hamburgers! the cornerstone of any nutritional breakfast!

This movie is my favorite movie. It's long, but it's still good to watch over and over again. This is Tarantino's best work. Here is sort of what happens:

Two gangster loansharks, Jules and Vincent, wake up one morning, and they have to regain possession of their boss's suitcase. The great part is we never learn what's inside of this magical suitcase. They drop buy this apartment, and then Samuel L. Jackson proceeds to business, after firing off possibly his best lines ever. Then they have to go clean up their car accidentally shooting somebody in it. Then they go have breakfast, where their venue gets held up. They have a busy day, and that's just part of the story.

Samuel L. Jackson does possibly his best acting in this movie. He is uproariously funny. From his burger line to his "****, man, what'd you do to this towel?!" John Travolta doesn't end up with as much to do during the Jules-Vincent scenes, but gets his chance when he must entertain his boss's daughter, Mrs. Mia Wallace. THis scene is great, especially because we know that, if he screws up, his boss will kill him. Bruce Willis does a good job as Butch, as well.

Tarantino shows all of his trademarks, from Uma Thurman's bare feet, to his extra-long shots. This movie outshines his others in terms of funniness, but isn't erm quite as gross as some of his others (I'm still getting over that ear thing in Reservoir Dogs), although it earns its R rating in almost every way possible.

This DVD set is loaded with special features. I spent one morning watching most of them, and some of them were great. There are about 6 deleted scenes. All in all, this is a great movie with a good director's thing.

I have watched this film many times and have recommended it quite often. I believe it to be one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen, although a bit sad. The dedication to detail in the flowers, table settings, rooms, costume design is magnificent. It could not have ended any other way. Mr. Scorsese surprised me!

What Movie Musicals Should Be

This is one of my favorite musicals, along with 1776. It takes its plot from Shaw's Pygmalion and does a terrifc job of turning a Broadway hit into a big-screen smash.
Whereas Shaw's play was an indictment of society's tendency to place birth above ability, the movie gently ignores that aspect to focus on the relationship between Higgins and Dolittle. Dr. Higgins is a noted linguist who believes that speech is the only thing that seperates us from the animals and if a person could use speech properly, that person could rise to the top of society, ignoring birth and upbringing. He attempts to prove is theory by taking Eliza Dolittle, Hepburn, an unwashed flower peddler from lower London, into his home to teach her etiquette and proper speech. His teaching transforms Eliza who becomes the rage of London society. Eliza falls for Higgins is is blissfully unaware of his feelings ntil she leaves. She returns to a happy ending.Rex Harrison is perfect as the pompous, self-satisfied, insensitive Professor Higgins. His performance is unsurpassed except for Audrey Hepburn. Her performance is one of her most brilliant and a star in her crown of achievement. The movie glosses over some of the play's biting satire, softening it, as when Higgins laments about why a woman can't be more like a man or when Eliza complains that, after her transformation, she can no longer work for a living but must be married off to a rich husband but Higgins says she can get a job in a dress boutique. For sheer escapist fun, the movie is terrific. Get it.

Unpolished Morse

Frost is a British policeman who is brave, intelligent, emphatic with
crime victims.He is messy,doesn't like paperwork,and has a skimpy
social life. The stories are always realistic without being gory, and
are 100 minutes in length. This series has the 4 stories:Appropriate
Adults,Quarry,Dead Male One,and No Refuge.The acting,photography,
and music are excellent as usual. Frost develops but later ends
a relationship with Shirley Fisher because he can't commit himself.
In the process he considers selling the house he shared with his
now dead wife.I find these series to be among the best of British
mysteries and have preordered Series 4,due in November.
