Don't let the words 'Unrated and Uncut' stop you from seeing

Yes, there are plenty of T&A if you are interested. Almost every pretty actresses in this movie appears topless at least once. But, without those scenes, it is still a good movie. A story about a group of prostitutes with different problems. A soon-to-be a bride who tried to hide her past. A mother who tried to be a role model for her daughter. A former actress who ran away from a pimp. Besides their professionals, one thing they have in common is hopes for a better life. The script is touching and the acting is great. It was very entertaining and gave me something to think about. Only one minor flaw is these prostitutes seem to be too nice and kind. Considering the problems they've been through, they still act like angels. Something that is hard to find even among well-educated people. It makes the movie less realistic to me. But overall it is still a movie that worth watching.

Delightful! A great Muppet film, perfect for the holidays.

This is a fantastic return to the Muppet world, with all of your favorite crazy characters returning for a really funny version of "It's a Wonderful Life". Joan Cusack is great as the evil Rachel Bitterman. And of course, there is more Pepe in here than you could hope for. The Muppets are back! I also heard the director went literally went crazy directing this, and spent a few weeks at a mental institution!

A MEGA favorite

Wish I could give it 10 stars. When I saw this movie in the theater, I sat through it twice. I have never understood the negative reviews. I read and loved the book first (all of them, although the last ones got a bit weird), and loved the movie even more. My only distress is that I have been unable to locate a longer version anywhere, and I REALLY want to see it.
How I wish this movie had been more popular, so that sequels would have been made. Kyle McLaughlin has never lived up to his performance in this movie. I thought he was fabulous, and he WAS Paul for me. END

Stunning scenery, action, and music.

This is one of my top 5 movies of all time. The musical score is beyond excellent. The music sets the mood in so many ways, and immerses you in the action. The scenery is outstanding. Daniel Day-Lewis is excellent in this movie. I would reccommend this to anyone.

Its not a hoax!!

I live about 10 minutes from Amityville, and the house is real. That's not a question. My dad has showed me newspaper articles from 1974 which cleary show that its not a hoax. It became a movie after the residents claimed their house was haunted, yes. But the killings had happened years later and just weren't up for public mockary yet. Don't even try to say that it's a hoax, Amityville horror house still stands!!

The best way to showcase an actor like Paul Giamatti!

Sideways is definitely the best movie to cast a brilliant character actor like Paul Giamatti to play the lead(Miles Raymond), a role that allowed him to explore friendship,self-loathing, depression, divorce issue, wine tasting, and finding new love at the unexpected place. It also featured fine supporting performance from Thomas Haden Church(Jack), Virginia Madsen(Maya), Marylouise Burke(Miles' eccentric mother), and the Canadian Genie-winning Sandra Oh(Stepanie).
Miles and Jack embarked on a roadtrip for the week before Jack's wedding on Saturday. During this week, they intend to check out all the vineyards, wine bars, and resturants all over California. They start by dropping by at Miles' mother's house for a visit one day before her birthday. Miles' mother is quite an eccentric character and outspoken, and is a huge fan of Jack's work as an actor. Miles stole some money from her Ajax can/piggy bank before hitting the road.
Later, they met the lovely waitress(Maya), whom Miles had been served by previously, and Jack wanted to set her up with Miles. When he met Stephanie(the wine server/single mother) at another bar, he wanted to have a good time with her before his wedding without telling her about his engagement. The foursome got to know each other over the course of the several days. Jack really hit it off with Stepanie, and he told her that he loves her. Maya is interested in Miles and his unpublished novel, but he's still on the rebound from his divorce, and calls his ex-wife when he gets drunk. Everything got ugly between the four when Miles told Maya the truth about jack........
This is a great roadtrip/romantic comedy, and there is plenty of funny and touching moments. You don't have to have a thing for wines like Miles or Maya to get into this movie.
Paul Giamatti is tremendously funny and captivating, and it's certain that he should be nominated for the Oscar.
Thomas Haden Church is great, especially when he revealed his real feelings and fear of losing his fiance.
Virginia Madsen is very wonderful as a woman who shares the same passion for wine as Miles, and compassionate towards him in a subtle performance that should put her on the best supporting actress list.
Sandra Oh steals a few scenes with her limited screen time, especially when she confronts Jack and beat the hell out of him. It's unfortunate that Hollywood is not using her as much as Mina Shum did in her Canadian films such as Double Happiness, Last Night(Don McKellar), and the American stripper film Dancing At The Blue Iguana(Jennifer Tilly).

RIP'S YOUR GUT'S OUT! FIVE STABS ///// OUT OF FIVE /////

JOHNNY DEPP STANDS OUT IN THIS LUSH CINEMATOGRAPHY, THE PERIOD WAS WELL DEPICTED.
DEPP IS A JEWEL AND AUDIENCES CANT HELP BUT LIKE HIS SEDUCTIVE STYLE IN THIS FILM. HE DRAWS THE AUDIENCE IN WITH TYPICAL DEPP, MUCH LIKE HE DRAWS ON HIS OPIUM PIPE.
THIS IS A GOOD TAKE ON THE OLD DIABOLICAL THRILLER---AND IS THE BEST JACK THE RIPPER THAT I HAVE SEEN.
I FOUND THE SEX SCENES TO BE REALISTICLY GRITTY AND EVOCATIVE OF THAT PERIOD--- WHERE IMMORALITY WAS ON FULL DISPLAY ON THE SIDE STREETS OF LONDON.
THE FILM GIVES A GOOD GEOGRAPHIC SCALE TO THE IMMENSE OUTLAY OF LONDON EVEN IN THE 1800'S.
I BOUGHT THIS DVD IN THE BARGAIN BIN AND WILL WATCH IT SEVERAL TIMES. I AM A DEVOTEE OF DEPP. HE IS SUCH A GOOD ACTOR, AND HE STRETCHES TO TRY NEW PROJECTS.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM IN A GOOD BBC/A&E PRODUCTION OR MASTERPIECE THEATRE.
