Destined to become a classic...

This is a truly wonderful movie that any mature adult who has struggled with complicated life situations can appreciate. I totally related to the characters, either as their circumstances reflected my own experiences or those of people I know. This is not a film for teenagers or audiences that get easily bored. This is a very slow moving, quiet film that focuses on the non-eventful and steadily chaotic lives of a few characters. The best part about this film is that it deals with some very adult-oriented issues (sex, drug use, infidelity, etc.) in a remarkably realistic and tasteful way. And there is just enough humor in the movie to keep it from becoming melodramatic; one of my favorite moments is when Sammy is driving back home after spending the evening with her boss at a cheap hotel. While she's driving, she moves back and forth b/t smirking in disgust and laughing with devious excitement....haven't we all had uncertain moments like that?

Pure Immortal!

Arnold Schwarzenegger scores again with this under-rated action movie. Although, there are no other famous names in this film, Arnold carries it from start to finish. Intellect! Arnold is an F.B.I. agent that goes undercover as a mafia individual. This picture shows Arnold's true acting ability and he goes into the hideout at the end and obliterates his enemies. Annihilation! From the opening credits where Arnold Schwarzenegger is driving in the jeep chasing some clown. Splendid! Then Arnold combs his hair back and doesn't take any garbage from the mafia. How valiant! Arnold Schwarzenegger is truly my hero after I watched this bold action picture. The director was really thinking hard on this one and later on, made the epic "City of Industry".

Very very interesting

A great view into the seedy world of prostitution, slimy pimps and the lies and disfunction that is part of that world. It gives a good overview of what Heidi Fleiss is about. It was very interesting to view her parents and background which to the trained eye, explains how she ended up being who she was. Entertaining and well done.

Perhaps the Cutest Movie You?ll See All Year...

Like Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Antz and Shrek before it, Monsters Inc. is another powerhouse kids movie (from our good friends at Pixar) with all those cool animatronic characters we've come to marvel at. Full of comedy (lots of it slap-stick) and lovable (but not all that scary) characters, this movie will be loved by kids of all ages and just about anyone who sees it.
The basic plot follows the adventures of Sully (the huge bear like creature) and Mike Wazowski (you'll be hooked by the end...)(the one-eyed green thing) who work for Monsters Inc. In Monstropolis, the city is powered by the screams of young children who the monsters scare at night via a HUGE network of children's closet doors that they crawl through. The odd thing is that the Monsters are even MORE scared of the children, and that is where our story takes off as little baby "Boo" ventures into the world of Monstropolis. What follows is a hilarious (and cute) story of scares, laughs and corporate intrigue as Sully and Mike stumble across a dastardly plot that begins as a simple game of "healthy" competition between Sully and the chameleon Randal.
Movie Highlights:
- Our heroes chasing the villain throughout the world via the network of closet doors (that's TOTALLY ultra-cool).
- The hilarious actions of the "Child Detection Agency" and all their CODES.
Aimed more at the "cute" factor than its earlier predecessors, Monsters Inc. is bound to leave you with a smile on your face (or barf bag depending on your tastes) by the end of the film. Already a commercial success tons of parents are bound to be buying Sully, Mike or Boo dolls for X-mas.
Highly Recommended for kids and parentsRecommended for all others

Great action movie with excellent cast

Once Upon A Time in Mexico is the third movie in the El Mariachi trilogy and a fitting end for it. A rogue CIA agent, Sands, is trying to organize a government overthrow. In reality, he doesn't want to the overthrow to take place so he hires El Mariachi to kill the leader of the coup de tat. After all, a revolution is needed to clean the system out. As well as the main storyline, OUATIM features numerous sub-plots with plenty of great actors. It can be a little confusing at times, but overall the movie is well worth it. There are plenty of great, over-the-top action scenes here that will blow you away. Director Robert Rodriguez shot this film beautifully in Mexico making it that much more enjoyable.

Antonio Banderas returns as the brooding gunman, El Mariachi, who is hired by the CIA to kill a rogue general, Marquez. Banderas is perfect once again in the role that he reprises from Desperado. Johnny Depp steals every scene he is in as Agent Sands, the sarcastic, psychotic CIA agent. He has too many one-liners to mention. Salma Hayek has little to do here, but who cares, she looks gorgeous. The impressive cast includes Mickey Rourke, Eva Mendes, Willem Dafoe, Danny Trejo, Cheech Marin, Ruben Blades, Marco Leonardi, and Enrique Iglesias. The DVD offers commentary by Rodriguez, two featurettes, deleted scenes, widescreen presentation, and several other worthwhile extras. This is a great over the top action movie that never slows down from beginning to end. For a great action movie with an excellent cast, check out Once Upon a Time in Mexico!

Just cause

I don't care if Will Smith has it going on, I know he does, cause he's sleek, smooth, and funny. This movie is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Besides the fact that I have seen some bad movies in my time this one has taken the cake.
This is about a guy who is a lawyer (Will Smith) and he meets up with a guy he knows from College, and he drops an item into his bag, it ends up being that this guy filmed the murder of a congressman the government was trying to induce into passing a bill that allowed the CIA, NSA and other agencies to basically invade everyone in the world's privacy, and watch for anything and everything they can think of. I loved this movie because it was thought out, and the acting was superb. Gene Hackman was a great supporting actor and Will Smith has the golden globe for this job. It is definatly different then any of the other movies he has been retained to act in.
This movie has just the right amount of comedy/action/thrills. The only quirk about it is that is really long. The director really knew what he/she was doing in the motion picture. I think that everyone will like this movie.

A wonderful and touching movie

To me, this movie would make God proud. The relationship between the two main characters is a parable for the relationship between God and man. A very touching and unforgettable movie. There is more truth in this that in any other movie I've seen in a long time.

You've just got to laugh!

What can I say... once Buffy gets into your blood you're the victim! And you just gotta' keep buying stuff like this. Coming from the father of a family who all watch buffy together (now there's got to be some sort of generation gap fixer here),this is a great buy...even without the extras. I gotta say I've owned all of first series and second series on DVD for quiet some time now and sure season two is better but season one is magical- and you can tell your at the beginning of something big!
And some news to make you three weeks I'll be going to buy all of season three on DVD ('cause thats when it comes out in Australia).Lets all hope nothing stupid happens to the show with the big network move.
