Choped body parts + Glow in the dark make up jobs = Awsome!

After just a half an hour of watching The Evil Dead I was blown' away at what a great and notable job the collage studnts that made this groudbraker as good as they did, and scary too.As a matter of facted I think reson that The Evil Dead was created so skillfuly buy kids not much older than my 15 year old self, is reson enough to call this cult classic the best( if not one of the best) horror films ever created, just like what almost everyone ealse thinks, even though it takes bits and peaces out other classics like House on Hunted Hill, (the overly long) Night of the Dead seires and my personal favorite The Exoricist.
The story begins with a five collage bubbies going up to the hills for the weaked just to have some fun, but what they get instead is the satanic Book of the Dead wich is an old book put together by human flesh and writen in blood, and it opens the doors to another world I don't anyone would like to spend much time. One by one the kids die in very, very, very bloody ways. That is the reson why even if your expecting alot of gore it might be just to much. Sam Rami shows us brains smashed up, rolling body parts and the whole nine yards as far as lots of gore gose, but I think that how gorey the sepcial effects are is reson to love this even more, because even the special effects have some how faded over the years, but we must remember it was only film studnets that made this the hit was and the hit it deseved to be.
This is a great Special Edition disk in mind, but if you don't own this already you might want to wait for the other Special Edition DVD set to come out in a month or so from right now.
Just in case you don't want to speand the mony on the newer edition that is soon to be released then I beilve this is this edition is worth every penny.
If your a horror fan, and liked this as much as I did then you should pick up a Sepcial Edition copy of The Evil Dead 2, and Amy of Darkness, wich is the third movie from the Evil Dead seirs and is very funny.

A lovely story...

The movie starts with a son returning back from the city when his father dies to help his mom fulfill her wish to give her husband a traditional burial. Starting in black and white the films turns to color during his mother's flashback, as she explains how she first met her husband and WHY the traditional burial is so important. A story of love coming first, even before, funny enough, the tradition of arranged marriages. Full of culture and touching moments.

desert star

I love trains. After "Lawrence of Arabia," I realized why I had so much passion about trains storied away, especial a David Lean train, those long winding black serpents that cross the desert like hells messenger. I love trains, because they carry me off to another place, another time. "Lawrence of Arabia" is no different from the trolley I wrap around the Christmas tree. The movie is its own personality.
The personality of "Lawrence" is locked inside the cinematography, acting, and directing which is neatly sealed in the DVD. The personality of the movie parallels T.E. Lawrence's ego. A man who elevates himself to a God like status by crossing and rampaging the desert. The movie builds up as well, from the first minute to the last it transforms to one of the greatest films ever.
What we learn for Lawrence is not about a man at that stage in his life but more on how he went so far in his short time. Peter O'Toole has the blue eyes of man gazing at his destiny; he takes a long look into the future, his death, and the journey he has embarked upon. Those blue eyes that always seem to be burning like the desert and the imaginative camera work creates a sort of archeology out of the movie. It teaches us so much about the hard times of World War I and as I stated before, T.E.'s rise to near perfection.
One of the most interesting things is that T.E. Lawrence blows part of the famous train away. He does this so that he can raid the train. It is certainly one of Hollywood's most memorable moments. If the train represents a certain fragrance of freedom to me, I tend to think that Lawrence might have been on the same train in that thought. Whereas I expand on the dream of freedom and, Lawrence choose to take down the train for personal gain so that he could walk towards the Sun for a brief moment. That is what we must understand in the end. It is better to travel on the train, watch the train as cuts across the desert ... or place it in a particular spot for decoration. This is so much better than tearing the train apart for personal gain. Make a great gain by purchasing this wonderful film.

Excellent! One of the best spin-offs ever!

Give Angel a try!! The show was as good as Buffy, better in some ways. Fans of X-Files and Roswell should enjoy it. A gothic detective show. The acting was top notch, as was the story writing.

And if you're craving even more vampires since Angel and Buffy were cancelled--try FOREVER KNIGHT, starring a vampire cop searching for redemption--yes, they did it first (before Angel)!

A great movie about teenage life!

I thought that Jennifer Love Hewitt was great! She told all the guys how she felt! She doesn't want to strip her clothes off and do them! Women shouldn't be treated that way!
