Best movie ever made

Ya know, there are several movies in the world, but this has to be the best of all time. This is a film that I could watch several times a day and never lose interest if I had the time. There is something about it that cannot be explained. The scenery is perfect, and Tuco was probably the best character to ever be paired with the man with no name. I think that maybe I like it because Eastwood is not really the GOOD. He is the least evil and slimy of the trio. This was the first DVD that I purchased, and the one that is my player the most often. Check it out, and check out Fistful and For a Few Dollars more. They lead you up to this. Strange point though. Eastwood does not acquire the famous poncho until GBU. Is it first chronologically? You decide

Disney Has Another Hit

We'll just have to wait and see. Totally out of the ordinary, the first animated Disney film to my knowledge to gain a 'PG' rating, it could just be the next 'Lion King' for Disney. With proper promotion (I have yet to meet someone who doesn't laugh at the 'Inter-Stitch-als' with Alladin, Beauty & The Beast, etc.) and such easily lovable characters, this will no doubt be one of the summer's biggest hits.

The Love Bug will get you if you don't watch out

This is one of the best of the Disney live action movies from the 60s. I love the part where they drag race against the hippies in the hot rod! Ok, it may be a bit dated, but it's good clean fun for the entire family. The DVD has a nice clean print that looks terrific. Plus, it has tons of extras. If you are a fan of this movie, the DVD is a must buy.

Most people love it or hate it

For me, this is a "feel good" moive. I have to watch it whenever it's on a movie channel (I don't like the edited version). Funny gags, Jack Black, great cameos, funny gags. No body gets hurt. Happy ending. Just a fun, comedy. Some of my women friends don't like it. Just FYI, I guess it may be a guy flick :)

There is actually a reason why a classic becomes a classic.

This was not what I was prepared for. How can black and white be so colourful and alive. I never saw a Fellini film before, and to be quite honest I didn't want to see this one either. But one of my friends, who obviously is much smarter than me (although that is hard to admit!), made me go.
To all of you out there who fears these old black and white classics: see this film! You will descover that colour does not only depend on the colour of the celluloid.

This movie is hilarious

I watched this movie with my 12-year-old daughter. We laughed so hysterically during parts of it that we had to rewind and see what we'd missed. The scenes with the brothers who owned the hardware store are priceless. The movie nails beauty pageants for all they're worth. Being a woman of a certain age, I adored the Ellen Barkin/Allison Janney characters and their rapport. They were a scream, and both actresses seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. The running joke about being on "Cops" is a blast. If you have a quirky sense of humor and appreciate satire, you will definitely enjoy this movie.

Eraserhead - movie DVD cover picture
My ex-girlfriend looked just like the Lady in the Radiator

WHEN will they re-release this masterpiece on video and DVD? This film is purest Lynch. It isn't a movie, it's an experiance. David Lynch himself said that he didn't so much think of Eraserhead, than feel it. Never have I heard a more true statement. 'Eraserhead' is Atmosphere with a capital A, and contains some truly unnerving moments that come straight out of our darkest nightmares. David Lynch is a true artist. To watch Eraserhead is to be totally absorbed into another world; Henry and his bizarre hairdo; the gentle yet strangely disturbing Lady in the Radiator; and last but not least, the hideous 'Baby,' a truly grotesque little monster who is more terrifying than any other man-made creature in motion picture history. (Lynch has refused to say how he created the Baby....IF he made it, that is. CREEEEEEEEEEEEPYYYYY! ) There is an unrelenting sense of menace and fear throughout all the proceedings. Some may huff and dismiss 'Eraserhead' as an 'artsy-fartsy' flick intended for the smallest film cults. 'Eraserhead' is not cult; it's timeless. If only Lynch would create another film of this magnitude and purity. Maybe he still will.I look forward to the re-release of this ignored classic with great anticipation.

Finally its on DVD, great movie

The deal was Macaulay Culkin would return for another "Home Alone" if he was allowed to be in a movie that would be very un-Kevin (the name of his character from the John Hughes film). That's how "The Good Son", the remake of a much better film, "The Bad Seed" was born.
The premise of the story is that Culkin is a menace (more in the sense of Anakin Skywalker, not Dennis) and terrorizes Mark (the Elijah Wood character) who comes to stay with Macaulay's family after his mother dies. Rather than give us settle clues and build suspense, the film simply shows us one terrible act committed by Culkin's character after the other. Elijah Wood--who is a fine actor, even as a child--is reduced to a cartoonish situation of witnessing these crimes but not being in a position to stop him (after all, Culkin's character threatens, he's the one that's "messed up" since his mother died).
This motion picture may be thrilling to good, well-behaved 12-year-old boys who want to get a taste of the wild side (of course, they're too young to see it), but for everyone else it is either going to be a grim reminder of the evening news, or a boring motion picture that fails to live up to the talents of those acting in it.
To really see these stars shine as child actors I recommend "My Girl" for McCulkin fans (which is by far his best picture) and "Radio Flyer" for Elijah Wood fanatics.

Welcome "Lost In Space-Season 2"

I just recieved my copy today...put disc one on....sat down and almost fell out of my chair ! The remastering job is INCREDIBLE....the quality and clarity are superb...the menu looks nice....and is set up clearly for very easy navigating on each disc. Once you see all of this...you won't care that "Season 2" is broken up into two volumes...who really cares anyway ?

Season Two is my favorite....and any "Lost In Space" fan is familiar with the episodes so I'm basing my review on the quality we're getting with this set ! "Season 2 Volume 2" is now available for pre-order....and I'm doing that right now ! If you haven't bought Volume 1 yet....don't hesitate...buy it....sit down and enjoy !
