Great Laughs

Wallace Ritchie is basically a loser but he is a sweet kind of loser. He cliams to work in the movie business and although he does he only works at a Blockbuster Video Store. So when his brother a sucessful businessmen offers him an evening at the Theater of Life it is an offer he can't refuse.
This movie is funny proabbly the best Bill Murey movie since Groundhog Day. The laughs start at the very begining and do not stop untill the end. So overall it is very short and very sweet and I recommend it to all

A Laugh Riot

Galaxy Quest will have you rolling on your living room floor. It's a parody of the Star Trek series and its fans, but it isn't mean-spirited in this ribbing. Fans of the series who don't take themselves too seriously will be able to thoroughly enjoy this movie. Tim Allen plays the domineering captain of an old science fiction television show called Galaxy Quest. The way he tries to steal attention from his co-stars is taken directly from William Shatner's grandstanding. The stand-out performance comes from Alan Rickman as Dr. Lazarus, the Spock of the Galaxy Quest series. Tim and Alan are continually sniping at each other which brings on the laughs.
The story opens with the cast of Galaxy Quest making an appearance at a convention for Galaxy Quest fans. Obviously, the only one who is enjoying it is the captain. All of the other cast members are in living hell. During the convention, even the captain loses his enthusiasm. While in a deep depression, he is contacted by some strange fans who turn out to be real aliens. Can the washed-out actors of Galaxy Quest handle a real space crisis? Check it out. You'll laugh yourself to death.

Wow, what a great movie. It's one that makes you think about it for a few days, and changes your outlook on life. I must say it changed me. It's a little different but it's a great story and it really makes you think.

Classic romantic comedy

Katherine Hepburn is alternately heartbreaking and hilarious as Lizzie Curry, a woman whose sharp-tongued intelligence conceals a crippling inability to believe in herself as a woman. Burt Lancaster gives one of the best performances of his career as Bill Starbuck, a free-spirited big-dreaming sweet-talking con man who convinces Lizzie she can be as beautiful as she wants. An hilarious supporting cast, and some of the most tender and romantic scenes I've ever seen in a movie. Well worth seeing.

Well, you might like or not like this movie, but not a single person can watch it and pretend that it did not strike something deep inside. It is one of the strongest movies i have seen, and it made me feel things no other movie has made me feel. I strongly recommend it, as well as the book.

Can't-Miss Casting for Wilde Classic

Oscar Wilde was a brilliant satirist, issuing biting but humorous commentary about the times in which he lived. "An Ideal Husband" is one of his best plays, and this version of the tale is perfectly executed. The casting is flawless, with Rupert Everett, Cate Blanchett and Minnie Driver playing their roles with arch perfection. For fans of the cast members, Oscar Wilde, or period pieces, this film will not disappoint.

Must write bad review, but cannot!

Where on the graph does must and cannot meet? I must write a bad review, but cannot!
Robot Monster is the funniest sci-fi movie ever made. Anything Ed Wood directed doesn't come close to this wonderful turkey. The costume is ridiculous (gorilla suit & diving helmet), the dialogue is poorly written, the acting is horrible and you have to sit through long footage of the "Ro-Man" walking to nowhere in particular. It's wonderful. A movie to be laughed at again and again.

Great DVD!!!!

I loved this movie and some of the Commentary on it was downright funny from Micky's POV.... Even though there were some inconsistancies in the story, I think that it really showed just how hard those 4 guys tried to get out from under that greedy Donnie Kershner....
The 4 guys that played the Monkees did a great job in the roles of the pre fab 4. They captured the quality and spirit of the real ones...
In the story though Davy did not seem to want to be there at all. I remember the scene where Pete belts Davy a good one when Davy gets smart with him about how Peter got cast as a singer... it is too bad that it did not take him down a few notches...
All in all I still liked it... I am glad that the story was told.. I still have to listen to the others POV on the whole Monkees thing... I hope that some of you will give this DVD a try. This one is for the serious Monkee Fans....
