2fast 2great

This is better then the original. First off Miami is a much better location for this kinda movie than LA was in the first.People said the movie would suck cause there was no diesel, they're wrong, Tyrese is better than diesel, and unlike vin diesels character, Tyrese's actually has a sense of humor. Cars are better too. The Nissan Skyline itself was sweeter than any car in the first. The ending was also better, jumping a charger onto a yacht. This movie doesnt make you think, its a great popcorn flick.

The best movie of the year!

I almost gagged when my mom insisted that we rent this, but when it was over I was so glad she did. It is by far the best movie of the year. It is a heartwarming story about a boy who realizes that he has the chance to be something in the world instead of following in his father's footsteps and slaving away in a coal mine his whole life. I know it sounds cheesy, but the movie is very well executed and acted. You have to see this movie!

Two Great Masterpieces.

Here we have two great works by one of the greatest of all directors. First, there is Luis Bunuel's "Un Chien Andalou." It was his first film in collaboration with the notorious surrealist painter, Salvador Dali. Watching "Un Chien Andalou" is a whole experience in itself. It is a masterpiece of the cinema because not only is it the only true surrealist movie, it is a perfect example of dreams put onto film. It makes no sense, but that's the point. "Un Chien Andalou" (French for An Andalusian Dog) is like the rememberences of a dream (or nightmare) put on film. Indeed, Bunuel and Dali wrote the script based on their dreams. This is also a great example of superreal, brilliant and shocking cinema. The first scene (indeed one of the most famous opening scenes ever) is brilliant because it keeps you watching after it has shocked you. This movie also has style and shows Bunuel's brilliance for film composition. It is both graphic, violent, merciless, and beautiful. It has images you will never be able to shake, which is a true mark of great cinema. The next movie here, "Land Without Bread," is one of the best of all documentaries. Bunuel brilliantly takes us through a hell on earth. Here too there are surrealist images that stay with the viewer, even more so because they are real. "Land Without Bread" doesn't soften the material on its subject, it does a perfect examination and tour of the poorest region in Spain. And it's interesting to note that Bunuel edited this movie on a kitchen table with a knife and a magnifying glass. "Land Without Bread" is a graphic experience that's effective and stands as a great documentary. Few directors have filmed a poor, harsh region like Bunuel does here. "Un Chien Andalou" and "Land Without Bread" are brilliant examples of Bunuel's eye for ingenious cinema that looks at reality unblinkingly. These two films are good examples of why he is the greatest of all film surrealists.

Intense Psychodrama

Liz Taylor and Richard Burton team up in Edward Albee's most powerful play, and give the best performances of their careers. They totally immerse themselves in their characters and the dialogue which is the vehicle for deep character development. This is another product of the '60s blank hitting the societal fan. Intense emotions are stirred during the total psycho-war between George and Martha. The title could very well have been, Who's Afraid of Living Life in Reality with no Illusion. I am George, I am. Very haunting atmosphere set in New England. It says much more than it's consciously aware of. Leaps beyond anything in our mediocre decade.

Enchanting and Spellbinding

I thought the movie was great . What a terrific comeback , for the old religion . Although , it does add another problem . The problem being , that anything can be fixed with love and words . Other then that , it was great . The aunts . Well, they were the life to the whole movie . Besides , where ever Channing and Weist are , you know it's going to be good . I think they should have added a part for Stevie Nicks , cause she would fit right in with the script . Being spellbinding and enchanting herself . So if there is going to be a sequel , they should put a part in for Stevie . Other then that , the movie was fantastic , the soundtrack was the best . Especially Stevie's songs . With love , power , and respect . This movie was good . Bless be ...

Great Film - Must Have

Cannot wait for this bad boy to debut on DVD!
Still have the letterboxed laserdisc.
How badly was Director Don Siegel screwed over on this one?
After it was shot, scored and about to be released Lew Wasserman (head of Universal) screened it and was appalled that loveable Walter Matthau was playing a BAD GUY! He found the movie repellent (it's not, far from it) and had it released on the bottom half of some cruddy double bill. Poor Don's career was then taken down another notch by the 'Powers That Be'
This film, Dirty Harry (natch ;-) and 'Invasion Of The Body Snatchers' would be my favorite trio of Siegel films.
Own them all! Come on you cheap b*st*rd, buy it!
Wait! Forgetting 'Telefon' with C Bronson. That's a good one too!
